It's supposed to later today and then ice. Everyone is freaking the eff out. They are comparing it to a storm we had about 8 years ago when it snowed/iced in the middle of the afternoon and everyone panicked and left work/school at the same time. There was a major traffic jam every where and it took everyone about 8 hours to get home (to drive 5-10 miles).

No snow here. I'm pretty much a cold weather whimp. I know it hasn't been cold by many people's standards here, but after 2 weeks in the 20's I'm ready for summer. It was 46 degrees this morning, but they're talking about the possibility of snow on Monday.
It is supposed to snow this evening...but nothing major just an inch or two
That's what is predicted here and everyone is leaving work early, schools are already closing (there is no snow yet), etc. I could see the craziness with the threat of ICE, but they've already said that the ice will come between 4-7pm.

It was kind of trying to snow this morning but the front hadn't moved in yet. We're supposed to get up to 2 inches today and people are all "WHITE DEATH! CLOSE THE SCHOOLS AND BUY UP ALL THE BREAD!". It will be near 60 on Tuesday so we're going from one end to the other.
SO I guess I shouldn't have made fun, it is sleeting pretty bad outside and my car is already covered in a layer of ice. I was going to try and go to the gym and run some errands at lunch, but I'm not sure that's a great idea, so I'm back in the office.
I just looked at radar and it's about an hour away. Crap.
Yeah there is a band that came through Raleigh very quickly, they weren't expecting it. They are still saying the worst is expected after lunch. I started warming up my car and thought, "nope, just not going to do it right now." Although I guess if it gets worse, I'll be walking home.
