My BFF is getting married and is going on a honeymoon to some tropical island. As her shower gift, I want to get her a basket full of honeymoon things (she went off registry for mine so I am okay with doing the same).
I've started a list of ideas - what else can you think of? The resort will have towels so I left that off. Flip flops Sun hat Book/magazine/kindle GC Sunscreen Victorias Secret GC Travel size of her toiletries
Snacks! Sometimes when we travel it can be difficult to find snacks during the first 12-24 hours that we're there. Or we're too lazy to go out and find them, and not in need of full room service.
A kaftan or beach cover-up?
Cropped PJ pants or PJ shorts?
SPF lip balm in a stick is always on my list when we go to a beachy location - lips need protecting and can get somewhat chapped it they are exposed to too much sun.
Depending on your relationship and shower attendees (lol) lube, flavored massage oil, edible body paint. Other small things for that part of the honeymoon.
Disclaimer: I gave my bff a similar gift for her shower, she loved it and even her grandmother laughed. Depending on your friend they might just be offended/embarrassed. Use your own discretion.
Tote bag, bottle opener/corkscrew, travel laundry detergent, nail polish, scarf/sarong-type thing, bathing suit coverup, iTunes gift card, Band-Aids, passport cover, travel water bottle, small throw blanket or pashmina for the plane.
Maybe some singles and a roll of quarters, for tips and vending machines.
My BFF is going abroad for the first time this summer, so for Christmas I got her a Rick Steves pocket guidebook, a converter outlet plug, an eye mask and earplugs packet for the plane, and an Amazon gift card since she has a Kindle. I got the outlet plus and eye mask packet from Marshall's. Try a Five Below store for some little goodies, too.
A few pairs of those fake designer sunglasses. I didn't want to bring my good sunglasses with me so I bought 2 pair of the knock-offs and wore those. This way if I lost them, it wasn't a big deal.
Does she have water shoes? If not a gift certificate for someplaces that sells them. Also one of those waterproof money holder thing that hangs around your neck.
I often forget nail polish remover. I went out and bought a box of those nail polish removing wipes at CVS. Now I always have a couple of those in my travel toiletry bag. Nail polish remover can be a b!tch to find when you're on vacation and don't have access to a traditional drugstore.
