I have to show this thread to H. He still thinks she should be on stage 1 purees and naysayed scrambled eggs tonight. Look at how psyched she is eating those things! I want Babysaurus to get to have fun with her food like that.
Anna is almost 100% on table foods now. She thoroughly enjoys pretty much everything I throw her way, even with 0 teeth. She enjoys texture much more than Jameson did at this age.
@tambcat Thad shoves his mouth so fucking full. I try to let him be with most things, but bananas are so mushy and sticky that I do little chunks of that. Don't let that deter you.
lol, okay, so I gave her half a banana this morning. It was going great, and I was feeling pretty good about things, UNTIL it broke in half and she shoved 1/4 a banana in her mouth at one time. I freaked out and pulled it out and cut the rest of the banana into small pieces for her. Sigh...
These pics are so cute, guys!
Don't give up! She can do it! I've heard cutting up banana and rolling it in cereal is good so it's easier to grasp
Yeah, bananas are squishy and apparently like one of the top baby choking foods. I freak a bit on those. Everything else I sort of let her have at it, though DH freaks because she shoves everything in until her mouth is full.
I love this thread! I want to show DH and let him know that yes, babies eating is a messy business. He doesn't like when I plop food down for her to eat herself.
This is too cute! Question: How are you preparing the eggs? I think I may try giving Christian some.
I scramble and cook her eggs until they're very dry. I usually put some grated cheese on them once they're done cooking and mix it around until the cheese melts.

I mix a tiny but of cheese in the eggs prior to putting them on the skillet. Sometimes I'll add some diced veggies. I've also mixed some lentils in with the eggs prior to cooking to make a protein packed meal.
Trudy, that video of V eating is ADORABLE! She's so sweet when she's eating! Maggie is a brute with everything and throws and mashes everything I try to give her.
Tamb, I'm pretty nervous with food chunks, too. I'm usually pretty much right right on top of her, staring unblinkingly, when I try bigger things. DH gave her a large wedge of apple the other day and he said it went really well.
