I used it last year. If you go through MyPoints, you get points for filing through them. I go with whatever website is up to date for me and gives me a bigger refund. Oh, I am CPA as well so I can figure it out correctly. The first year of the refundable adoption tax credit, Turbo Tax old not figure out how I qualified and I could not get their system to work.

I continue to use Turbo Tax because my info is already saved there. It might be worth switching depending on what the cost difference is...I'll have to check it out.

We used it two years ago, but were supposed to get a discount on turbo tax from my bank last year. The discount didn't actually pan out, and they charged us more than expected just to file. The support message boards were full of others with the same story. I think we'll go back to tax act this year. Thanks!
If you're a glutton for punishment you can use freefilefillableforms.com, which is free, but you have to wade through the actual forms instead if the interview-style filing.

My husband does our taxes, and he uses freetaxusa.com. He likes it way better than TurboTax and it is super cheap (either federal or state is free, and the other is like $8 or something like that). It sounds like there are a lot of good alternatives to Turbo Tax.

I've used Tax Act for years. I do my federal for free. You can see the summary of your state return (including the total) without having to pay. I then do my state return on my own state's website for free and confirm that I got the same answer. Yes, I'm cheap
