We use our Wii to stream and we're now having the same problem with Amazon we had with Netflix.
We'll be in the middle of some show/movie and the picture will freeze up; a little circle spins in the middle like it's loading or something and then after about 30 seconds it will come back. It does this over & over. Very annoying.
Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?

We had that a lot with our wii and blu ray. We moved last September and got a new Internet provider and now we have only had that problem once or twice. We went from cableone Internet to AT&T.

we stream from either our TV directly for netflix, or through apple tv. we have the same problem. i believe it is our internet connection, which is often crappy because of where we live

We had streaming problems when our ancient router was dying.
If your router is otherwise reasonable, you could look into a wireless repeater to strengthen the signal down there.
Also, are you more apt to be doing stuff on the network (via phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) when you're watching via the Wii versus the TV? We have buffering problem if, say, I let iTunes start downloading my podcasts while we try to watch something.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
This happened to us, as well as the picture popping in and out of HD. We brought our modem back to Comcast and replaced it with a new one. We probably replace our modem about once a year or so because it just stops working as well. It has fixed the problem and it has rarely happened since.

We sometimes have similar problems streaming to the iPad, and it's because of our router signal strength. As long as we're sitting close to the router it works fine, but if you're upstairs it gets sketchy (the router is in the basement).

It may be the wii... Bot not in a broken way. When we stream on the Blu-ray player sometimes it acts up by lag and freezing but will work just fine on the Xbox... The processor or whatever just can't handle the load sometimes. We have the highest speed Internet available. When I had a wii it was super laggy too but I never tried to do netflix on it since it was so slow elsewhere
