Are your pms symptoms always the same?

I feel so tightly wound and angsty right now. I am just a ball of nerves and kind of feel like I could either scream or burst into tears at the slightest provocation. I am not normally like this, ever. Stupid damn estrogen.

I get like that every so often.

Every few months or so it seems, I get horrendous pain in the form of a cyst instead of a period.

Other months I am full of energy, I want to do stuff. I'm not bitchy.

No. The only thing that is always the same is that I want to attack all snacks.

I get the same symptoms (cramps, tiredness, irritability, headaches), but they definitely vary in intensity from month to month.

No. I had terrible cramps as a teenager. Those let up in my 20s and things were pretty normal. In my late 20s, I started getting ragey and the hormonal acne. Now, post LO, I still have the acne (hooray!) and have added crippling anxiety to the mix. Hormones are pretty much the suck and to blame for everything.

I went for a run and I do feel better. Still bloaty and crampy, but less crazy.

I'm on an extended cycle BCP so I only get my period 4 times a year. So they're usually pretty consistent in symptoms with some being worse than others. I'm going to stop taking them soon though and I'm worries. I had awful PMS in high school before going on birth control.

I was on this for about 6 years, then stopped when started TTC last summer.  Before I went on BCP my periods sucked.  Now they really aren't so bad.  They're actually about the same as when I was on the BCP, only a little bit lighter since I'm having on every month instead of one every three months.

Glad you're feeling better. Exercise always helps me too.

This past cycle, I had abnormally painful/swollen breasts, to the point where I couldn't sleep on my stomach, I actually started to worry that I was pregnant, turned out to just be a weird bout of PMS.
