I usually feed DS2 from my/DHs/DS1's plate - we went to b'fast today and it happened to be pancakes and bacon. Not the healthiest! I am a food nazi at home but if he gets a few bites of restaurant food I am not fussed.
Do you pre-pack food for them? or just go with the flow?
It depends. I'll give her stuff like toast without the butter, fruit, vegetables, but I haven't done more than that. I usually take mum mums and they keep her happy. I usually end up feeding her once we're home.
I just give him what I'm eating. When we go to the diner, I ask for a box of Cheerios for him and some toast and the give him some of my eggs or whatever I'm having

When we go to a diner I usually order a side of scrambled eggs for her and give her some whole wheat bread with it and maybe a few bites of my pancake.
We don't go out often, so I figure she can handle it once every week or two.
We just went for breakfast this morning, I ordered my eggs poached and spread a yolk on some wheat toast for her. I generally will give her some of whatever I'm eating at a restaurant but she doesn't consume much food when it's finger food. Plus we don't eat out a ton so I figure a little extra salt now and then is probably ok.
And I usually have a pouch or two, some Cheerios/baby cookies and a banana in the diaper bag to offer her.

I usually order something for her that we wrap 3/4 of and take home for the next few meals (grilled cheese on whole wheat, quesadilla with nothing spicy, etc). She is not eating meat yet since we are slowly introducing it, but once she is she will eat what I have. I usually can't give her what I have since I try to avoid carb-y meals and focus on protein.
For some reason when we are out she has taken to throwing any veggie we place in front of her or pulls it out of her mouth to drop on the floor. I usually ask for a side of fruit salad, depending on the place. That she doesn't throw yet lol.
I prepack food but I also let him eat off my plate. He is curious and I want to expose him to as many foods as I can. A lot of the food I order when out I would never make at home bc of time and I am only a mediocre cook so I let him sample it when we are out. No sweets though just entree/app type food.
We don't go out to eat often, but last time I gave him puffs and some of my food. I also gave him some of my water with the straw, he thought that was pretty cool.
We don't go out very often, and he still isn't eating a lot of food at a sitting, so he just shares a few bites off our plates. A french fry or two isn't a big deal to me, and he'll usually get a bite or two of whatever fruit or veg we might have.
He just eats what we order...the other day he went to town at an Indian restaurant, I figure going out to eat is a good opportunity to give him tastes of things that we don't usually make at home.

I always bring something for her because I am nervous of her allergy/intolerance issues.
But side note, do you clean up the floor before you leave? I try to pick up the 40,000 puffs that are on the floor because I don't want to be the annoying customers that left the place a wreck. That would be nearly impossible with something like bread though.
He eats off my plate (I make sure I order something that he can eat), but I also bring some puffs/mum mums for him to snack & keep him busy on while we wait for the food.

I have always pre-packed in the past but these days I just bring an emergency veggie pouch (the plum brand) and almost always cheerios. The cheerios keep him occupied while the food is ordered and we wait, and I usually give him veggies off my plate or order something on the side. I've ordered scrambled eggs (very well done) before, rice and avocado on the side at a mexican place, and I've let him try various things that are more on the healthy side and that he can chew down. He seems happy that way. We almost never have to use the pouch (he's also not as interested in it as he used to be) unless food is taking forever or he is fussier (later in the day).

I am mostly too paranoid. I'll bring the organic pouches and mums mums, and I've given her wheat bread in restaurants, but I don't think I'm anywhere near ready to give her something like a french fry or anything. DH feels stronger about what we give her while out than me. We were just at the Hard Rock here tonight, and I so wanted to give her a lemon wedge, and DH said absolutely not because of germs, lol. He has a point though. She hasn't had much that isn't organic because I'm a weirdo.
We don't got out much ourselves but did a few weeks ago. I brought some puree and puffs to keep her occupied and she was fine. I might start sharing soon.
Wow, I am such a slacker. I bring her food and feed her that. I guess I need to start branching out. However, until she recently she would gag if I tried to give her anything more solid. So I guess I'm doing ok. We went to BD's Mongolian Grill last night, but I thought everything was too full of sauce and sodium for her...gave her some white rice, that kept her occupied for a bit :-)
Speaking of sodium...She does love her bacon, it's hard to just give her a little bit because she LOVES it so much. She is definitely my kid.
