Our best couple friends are having a baby girl in April (and are the lucky recipients of all of our gear), and they're having a couple's shower today. The girls were at my parents, supposed to be overnight, so we could go to a thing last night and then this today, but now Etta's puking, so hubby is off to pick them up. So now it looks like at least one of us will have to stay home with Etta. I will likely either have to bring Claire or stay home too. Is it rude to text my friend and ask if I can bring the baby? I don't want to miss it. If it matters, they love our girls and often babysit them for us. I just don't wanna be that person who brings the baby if they're not welcome.
Also: I just finished sewing her gift, a ring sling, and I can't wait to give it to her!
I would text and ask! I brought Olivia to a shower last weekend and no one seemed to mine but I did ask the host beforehand. I hope Etta is better soon!

I would ask. I always find it odd when a mother-to-be gets all prima donna about no babies being allowed. In my circle of friends babies are always welcome (toddlers though, not so much).

Looks like my mom is keeping Claire in hopes that we can keep her from getting the virus Etta has, and hubby will stay home with Etta while I go to the shower.
