That looks like so much work! I have two randoms.
1) I sleep with my phone next to my pillow and a little LED light blinks if I have a message. In the middle of the night I remember having a weird dream about a weird strobe light coming from somewhere. I woke up to find the LED flashing from behind my head, looking like a strobe light in my room.
2) I snapped at my mom last night and I feel badly about it. I want to apologize, but I am still angry with her. I know that trying to talk with her about it will only make it worse, so I will just let it fizzle away, but still, I woke up irritated today.
I have bad dreams that our kitty is lost all the time. I woke up this morning from one such dream and she was standing right next to my face staring at me. She scared the crap out of me, but I felt a rush of happiness that she was there.
Yesterday I went on a frozen pond for the first time in my life. I was skeptical, but there were some people fishing that had fires directly in the ice so it was definitely thick enough. One of them came over and said we could use the area they'd already cleared of snow to skate. We talked with them about ice fishing and they asked about DS skating and how he had been learning to skate (they had a boy with them too). Awesome time. DS and DH playing hockey was so fun to watch. I don't skate as I don't have skates and I'm scared I'll fall and dislocate my knee cap again so it was fun being able to walk out there and be in the action versus watching from the bleachers.
This morning we walked down to the pond by our house to skate again (we went to different one yesterday) and there were high schoolers/college kids cursing loudly, broken beer bottles, and a kid on a dune buggy driving around where people were playing hockey trying to spin out. We lasted 10 minutes. I'm glad that wasn't my first experience or I'd be unlikely to try it again anytime soon. We were out over an hour on the ice yesterday.
I started job hunting to my current job out of fear I would be either laid off or cut to part time due to my manager micro managing and taking away job duties and overall reducing my projects in our 2 person department. He said he had a plan, but it never materialized. Meanwhile, he was putting in extra hours. I stated this in my exit review w/HR along with the fact that I was getting no where in the company. Feb 1st is 4 months with my new employer and my old employer still has not posted my old position which is raising eyebrows since I was in the audit department.

Some of my favorite memories as a kid are of skating on a frozen pond with my parents and friends. We had a big bonfire and would drink hot cocoa when we got too tired to keep going. I'm glad you had the good experience first.
We just told mil that we already have plans for dinner tonight, but I really don't want to go over because fil's soup sucks. It's like 90 percent water with a few veggies sprinkled in. He's such a cheapskate.
Me again. I really want to file our taxes, but we will need to wait. We still need DH's W2 and will claim some adoption expenses for fees paid in prior year. Truthfully, I am almost willing to give up the 140 dollars this year not to have to wait.

Yuck!! We have a friend who cooks like that. The first time they invited us over to dinner they said they were making potato soup. It was like drinking skim milk with some chunked potatoes thrown in. We forced it down like champs, but we have avoided every dinner at their house since.

That sounds awful! It's restaurant week time here and I'm so excited to go out to a local steakhouse for dinner tonight.
the sun is shining! i think it is the first time we've had sunlight for more than 5 minutes at a time in... 3 months?
living in a valley is awful in the winter and people who say SAD is a myth should spend a winter here. sometimes i wish i could hibernate with the bears until spring.
I took my dog to the park for a walk and made the mistake of wearing flip flops. Something bit my foot and now it's throbbing and itchy as hell. I was bit on the arch, but my big toe is itchy. I thought it was just an ant, but I don't see a mark anywhere. Also, my dog is 18, and the vet said she just needs to keep exercising to keep her hips from getting bad. And she needs puzzles for mental stimulation. I accomplished both today- a nice walk at the park (very slow, at her pace), and a kong ball with treats. A week ago I thought we were going to have to put her down, and now she is prancing at the park and playing like a young pup!

Yesterday I turned the TV on and figure skating was on. My dog stopped what he was doing and watched an entire routine without blinking. After they were done he went back to his toy. It cracked me up.

I needed to make a dessert for an event this week so I decided to make a lemon bar cheesecake. To make it I first made fresh lemon curd, I had no idea how good fresh lemon curd was. I think I have consumed a 1/2 a cup of it just spooning it in my mouth. I can never make this recipe again!

I just bought my first ever smoothie from Jambs Juice. I got the apples n greens. It was tasty, but it may be my last. It was pricey, though that may be the jacked up airport price. I think it might be first and last Jamba Juice.
I told DH I want to do a "spending freeze" in Feb... I'm laughing just thinking about it. I'm addicted to amazon & I already have a tentative shopping date set w/ friends.. I don't see this ending well.
