I'm having the hardest time but I have weird requirements so I'm hoping you have suggestions. I don't like how jrs fit since you bend down and your crack comes out but I can't find my size in woman's jeans since I don't want to spend a lot of money. I'm hoping to gain weight when I'm done breastfeeding and can have dairy again so that is why I don't want to spend a lot. I also need longs. I just want dark denim, none of the fancy designs or holes. Any ideas of where I can shop?
Old navy. Their new jeans come in long and they have several styles, some sit higher than normal, and I got mine for under $20
I was thinking if there but I know that gap didn't carry longs in sizes smaller than 4s so I wasn't sure if they had the same issue since they are the same company. Maybe I should look in their site before going.
Forever 21! All my jeans that aren't Seven for all Mankind are from Forever.
do you have issues with them being too low cut since they are more of a juniors style?
Nope, there are some styles that sit lower than others but they're not all cut like juniors. The zipper length is always the tell tale sign! So I just hold them up and can tell right away if they're worth trying on or not.
The one pair of pants I have that actually fit are Levi's and I love them but they cost $50. I bought them from the Levi's store, are they normally cheaper at kohls?
I like Abercombie. They have a longer length size and a few styles with a higher rise. Their denim is usually Japanese goods ( same as the high end women's brands) and they have a seriously amazing washing/garment denim facility in Sri Lanka. If only they would something about the blasting music and insane smell of their stores...
Okay, thank you ladies!! Looks like I need to go shopping when William wakes up. I can't try on things when he is in the ergo and he isn't a fan of the stroller if it isn't moving.... This may be fun.
I found a pair of ELLE brand skinnies in misses at Kohls that I like. They are lower rise and a nice dark wash. I think they were around $20. I'm not sure if they came in longs, but right now I wear them in boots anyways.
I second Old Navy for cheapies. All my jeans since having Maggie have been from ON. If your store doesn't carry longs you can order them online (where I order my petites, lol). Free shipping at $50, plus constant sales. I like the Rockstar fit myself. Nice midrise with some stretch, and the campfire wash is a nice dark one. The bootcut pair I have are also very soft.

Buy Macy's, jcpenny or kohls online and return in store... Completely worth not taking a mini terrorist shopping for jeans and you for sure can try on the right size!
Do you have marshals? I usually go there and try on a bunch as they are organized by size. One of my favorite pairs are Levi's that I bought at Marshall's for about $15.

I gotta second Abercrombie, because their jeans last FOREVER. Full price, they're kind of steep, but they're having a sale on a lot of styles, especially the super skinny, for $39 like lola said. That's where I get all my jeans, and some of them, I've legitimately had since high school without losing their fit or strength. Even full price, their worth it for their long wear. They also have lots of long lengths for all of their styles.
Do you have a NY&Company near you? Their pants come in long length. Not the greatest quality clothes, but definitely cheap and I've always had good luck finding pants there.
