Admin note re: attachments

I am embarrassed to admit I don't really know what any of this means (I am otherwise an intelligent adult). If click the [Add Image] icon and the image has the url of the another site, is that image "hosted" or is "uploaded"? I'm specifically not talking about photobucket or tinypic; I am thinking specifically of an image on a shopping website or some such, like I'm saying, Hey, look at this cute dress on norstrom dot com.

I'm not talking about a pic of my kid I've uploaded from my pc ... I know that's uploaded.

Please don't think I am an idiot. I prefer to think of myself as "uniquely unqualified".
