My weekend was mostly unexciting with the one exception that I was at the BJ's where that car exploded in the parking lot yesterday. I was inside when it went off. There was a loud boom and the building shook and then tons of people ran outside. I was in line paying but I thought someone had run into the building so when I brought the stuff out to my car I decided to be nosey and check it out. It was the craziest looking thing I ever saw! And the cars immediately next to it had thier rear windows all smashed out. I left just as the police and fire responders arrived.

Glad you had fun at your shower, VT!
We didn't do much. Saturday, we headed to the South Shore for lunch at the Fat Cat, and grabbed cupcakes at Babycakes while we were over there. We tried to go to the mall, but the parking lot was a zoo, and I couldn't be bothered. So instead, we went to the wine store, then went home and had a 30 Rock/Extras marathon all night.
Yesterday, we went to the gym and then were lazy the rest of the day. We watched Django Unchained, which I did not love. I thought it was sooooooooooooooo slow. Some of it was really good, but I was totally Meh on it overall. Apparently, there is a 5 hour version of this movie out there; I cannot imagine what the hell they cut out. I loved Christoph Walz, though; he was just brilliant.
And tomorrow/Wednesday, I get to go to beautiful downtown Warwick for a conference. Don't be jealous, people! Heh.

5K I love the Fat Cat - great mac n' cheese and fried pickles. Definitely an indulgent day if I go there for dinner.
My weekend was low key for the most part, though Friday night I went out for drinks and saw a fun band with a friend. We even had late night Chinese complete with "cold tea". Saturday I went to boot camp then had lunch at Cheesecake with a friend and her baby, and strolled the mall a bit after. Saturday night I just relaxed and nursed my little hangover from the night before. Sunday my bf came home from NH and we went out to lunch and food shopping. I don't know why but Stop and Shop was an absolute zoo, even worse than most weekends.
What a fun shower - especially on such a freezing weekend (also, at first I thought the girl taking your photo in that one pic had some major, intense tattoo action going on...then I realized I am a dumbass and that is her outfit. I need more coffee)
Not the most exciting weekend. DH had to work a lot. I went to the gym on Saturday and then hung out with my friend while the kids had a playdate. Sunday was a lazy morning followed by swim class for my older son, a summer camp fair to figure out where he will go this summer, and then dinner at Jimmy's in Brookline.
Oh, and I managed to wreck our brand spanking new , expensive leather sofa by falling asleep on top of a chocolate truffle (don't ask - long story) on it and causing a big stain. We have a call out to a leather restoration company and hopefully they can fix it. We were so worried about the kids wrecking it, but nope, I did. PLus, what a waste of a Lindt truffle.
Your shower looks beautiful, vtdiamond. Makes me dream of being on a tropical island!
Nothing too exciting for us, spent Saturday running some errands and starting our baby registry at Babies R Us....I was smart enough this time to eat first. But still had a headache afterward (has been one of my main pregnancy issues). We watched "21 Jump Street", which was pretty funny that night.
Sunday, DH cleaned...we got a new Dyson vacuum a few weeks ago and he is in love And I ran out to Target.
I'm just ready to warmer weather so we can get back outside of the weekends.
How did I miss a story about an exploding car??? Then again, I just found out this weekend that Larry Hagman died. In November.
Quiet weekend. DH was home for once on a Friday so we hung out. Saturday he went to an all-day fencing event and came in 2nd! We were so proud, DD drew him a congratulations picture. Sunday was putzing around the house for the most part. I feel like we're saving up for the spring/summer, when weekends are going to be unbearably busy...
The mac-and-cheese is awesome, too. We used to go there all the time when we lived in Quincy. Well, when we could get in - it's so crazy crowded all the time now.
Love your shower pics! What was your favorite gift?
I think I live in the wrong country. I've eaten tacos for 4 days in a row. I had the best pico de gallo ever today. I actually drank the juice from the bottom of the bowl with my spoon.
That's guys, the hostesses were amazing with all the cute little touches. Beverages for the shower were champagne with a pineapple garnish and rum punch!
Hmmm, tough to say my favorite gift. I loved the cookie platter that was in my china pattern, waterford crystal wine stopper, spa finder gc and new glasses (wine, champagne and martini).

My weekend went so fast! Kid does play lots of sports so between their games and Birthday parties we were always running! Saturday night DH and I went to a bowling benefit. It was so fun, but I think I am the world's worst bowler! Sunday was church, soccer, hockey, lol!
We had a quiet weekend, we went the the dog park in Arlington for the first time and our pup loved it! We went furniture shopping in the afternoon and failed. I hated everything. We need need a TV console, anyone have suggestions on where to look? Everything we saw looked cheap but was pricey.
Sunday my H left for a work trip again so I went to the Burlington mall and did a little shopping. My work holiday party is next week and I am trying to find a good dress.
We had a friends kids first birthday party on Saturday.my gosh, it was like a baby explosion in there!
We are hitting up the Fat Cat this weekend- we could walk, there from our place. Their wings are a game changer, seriously. I don't even like wings but those, I crave.
Left turn here- are any of you ladies in the Quincy/Weymouth/Braintree area and have kids? We don't have babies yet (except for the cats) but I think we will have one this year and I've been obsessing over day care thoughts. Any recommendations?

Friday, DH and I went out for my birthday at Uno's mainly because I had a free entree coupon.
Saturday we hung around and did errands. It was my last Saturday not working for the next few months so I used it to my full advantage to be a lazy bum.
Sunday we went to the Celtics/Heat game because my parents are awesome and got us tickets for my birthday. Coincidently my cousin and his fiancee were there as well as my boss and one of his kids.
