I had never been overly keen to go to India but then I went to a conference there and thought the country was facinating and hence want to go back again. I will admit that the poverty is staggering - I have had a lot of experience with poverty (both here in Jamaica and in travelling to places like Malawi), but flying oer the Indian slums was mind blowing. I do know some people who live there as well which I always like when travelling.
I loved India. 99% of my colleagues (we have several major offices in India) loathe traveling there, but it's honestly one of my favorite places on earth. The poverty IS staggering, and it's shocking to live in the middle of it. The entire experience is a major assault on the senses (in every way), but once I got used to that, I really enjoyed it. The food was incredible, the people were generally friendly, and it's a stunning, gorgeous country.
It helped immensely to be traveling with Indian friends - I'm honestly not sure I'd do it solo.
I cannot even answer this question as the answer is everything (if no money is involved).
I can say I'd lean more towards "exploring" than sitting. I don't really like to just sit on beaches. The sand gets everywhere and i get bored.
I'd like to go backpacking around europe. I'd like to do a big US roadtrip. I'd say australia would be cool but I'm not sure I'd ever travel that far when there are so many places to see that aren't so far away.
Before we had the babe and we were renting an apt in the city, hubby and I decided if we got laid off our jobs we'd just pack everything up in storage and go hike the AT.
We are going to Italy in the summer and pondering flying icelandair with a stopoff in Reykjavik for 3 days on the way. Not sure yet. I'm excited about this trip however the sprog is coming with us so it will likely be more stress than relaxing haha.
Hubby has a new job where the sales achievers trip is in Hawaii this year. He can't possibly qualify it turns out, BUT if he did we would be handing the baby off to grandma... some day..
My first place I'm dying to go to is New Zealand. My second place is Ireland.
New Zealand was my dream vacay and we did it for our honeymoon two years ago and it was AMAZING! We did 2 week in the south island which included a 4 day hike, horseback riding in "middle earth", glacier hiking, and skydiving. I highly recommend it, it was so so beautiful.
If we didn't have Audrey, I would have a Machu Picchu hiking trip planned. Or hiking in patagonia.
I'm a big Europe fan. I would love to go back to Scotland, and then to Ireland and Wales. Stop by London for a hello to one of my favorite cities. I'd then love to head to France, eat cheese, drink wine. Then head over to Germany, stalk Dorothy Zbornak, drink beer. Then back to Austria because Vienna is one of the most glorious cities. Bike up the Danube, drink some delicious crisp wine from the local vineyards there.
This list is missing Switzerland! It's the most beautiful country I've ever been to. Every single place I've been there is just breathtaking.

I've only been to the Zurich airport (a few times, actually, now that I think about it), but it was very clean and Swiss Airlines gave us free chocolate. So yeah, I'll stop in Switzerland on the way from France to Germany.
Also, H and I have seriously discussed the possibility of moving to Switzerland in the future bc a lot of drug companies have headquarters there and there are a lot of labs and a lot of government support for scientific research.

Do it!! If H would agree, I would move to Switzerland in a heartbeat. I love everything about it! I have never been to Zurich though. Just between Geneva and Lucerne and Zermatt.
I've got two. First one, Ireland with my BFF to ride horses all day and wander around. She's the best to travel with so it would be a blast. Second, wine country in California with DH.

I had trouble getting over the cost of things there! It was like a $15 hotdog. Granted we went when the franc skyrocketed and it has now called a lot.
Spain, both the south and north. Fiji, various islands in the tropics, San Francisco...
But DH and I have decided we're going to take a trip to Jamaica when I'm done BFing and stay at an all inclusive and just hang out on the beach and drink for a few days!
**crop dusting all y'all since 2011**
You can get more for your money and a really cool experience off the beaten trail in Jamaica. Ask@jamaicam !
Bitches, flock to me. We have plenty of places to sleep. And a basement full of beer.
I want to go to California and meet thedahliharpa and eat Doritos in front of her; then head to LA and see one of my BFFs from college. Actually, here's what would be awesome: Renting an RV and driving all over America. Hell yeah.
Don't forget to lather while in Cali.
The Doritos are approved but the lather isn't up for negotiations.
Give me a backpack and a ticket to southeast Asia. No DH. He hates anywhere without high speed internet and air conditioning.
DH and I did this one summer! It was awesome. But yeah, little air conditioning and slow internet.
I would love to be able to go to all 50 states. I have about 34 so far. I told DH once the kids are old enough, I'd love to take a few months and travel Europe together. If money were no option, I'd want to take a year and really experience Europe; study the languages, etc.
I also want to go to Africa, maybe on an aid trip, where we can build a school or something.
I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to almost all of the places listed in this post (with the exception of Peru, Brazil and China) bc my mom has worked for an airline most of my life so I have been traveling since I could walk.
My dream is to go on a few safaris throughout s africa then fly to the seychelles or maldives and relax. Perfect see/do and relax vaca.
I would love to go to Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea. It would be a dream to stay for at least two weeks in one of those suites that sit directly over the ocean and have a glass bottom floor. Then we would hop over to Fiji for more sun, swimming and just relaxing on the beach with a good book or two.
