cleaning patent leather shoes

I just moved and all my shoes were tossed together in a box. My brand new nude patent leather shoes have black marks all over them. It almost looks like its an imprint of my black leather boots but who knows. Anyhow, the marks are not coming off with soapy water. Not sure what to try now. Any suggestions?
