I'll call my doctor tomorrow if I don't get my period early, but humor me in the mean time...
The lab I'm supposed to go to for my CD3 blood draw isn't open on the weekend. It looks like I'll probably get my period Thursday. Have any of you run into this? Did you have to wait for the next cycle, or is there another solution?

According to the info I got, it needs to be done on CD2, 3 or 4 , with CD3 being ideal. CD3 is much preferred by my doc, but if that's just absolutely impossible, she'll just definitely want to know which day it was (between the 2-4 window).

Oh, good to know there's a window. I'm glad I asked! I'll call and see what she wants me to do. She's a "just" my GP (no relationship with an OB, and have to go through her and my HMO for an RE referral), so I'm trying to arm myself with info so I can recognize if she tells me something totally weird/incorrect.

This is a chain of labs; a couple locations are open half day Saturday, so I'll see if I can go to one of those. It'll be a bit of a drive, but I'll suck it up.
I haven't hit the year mark yet, and she doesn't think my short LPs/spotting are enough for a referral to get approved. ::sigh:: I'm considering calling an OB to see if I can get a second opinion, but I really dread trying to navigate the insurance.

What is the plan other than CD3 bloodwork? I'm not seeing an RE for my luteal phase defect, but my OB is pretty much just doing what an RE would do, but saving me a step (and keeping me with him since that's what I wanted if possible).

I think she's casting a wide net to see what comes up. DH had an SA (haven't heard results yet), and when I talk to her after this round of blood work I'm going to ask if she will be willing to check my 7dpo progesterone levels since that's likely where the problem lies. I'd happily take progesterone supplements if she offers them; anything more involved than that and I would be much more comfortable with a specialist who may be better equipped to discuss other options and provide closer monitoring.
