I think it's time for my Trish McEvoy powder brush to go the great makeup brush holder in the sky.
If you have one you love, please recommend it.
I mainly use Laura Mercier translucent loose powder over smashbox BB cream or Becca foundation but sometime I just do concealer and a light dusting of the powder. I'm thinking of trying the Jane Iredale since a studio near me has samples.
Hmm, the website info says it's for foundation. Which I guess would work for the JI powder but I'm not sure it would be good for regular powder. That said, if I get the JI powder, I'm not opposed to having different brushes.
But I may be trying the Jane Iredale powder and I don't know if I need a different brush for that.
Oh, okay.
I like the Sigma brush I recommended because it applies loose or pressed foundation powder nicely. It gives me great coverage basically.
The Iredale stuff is amazing. I have switched between the loose powder and pressed a couple of times. The pressed is not as messy. And, I can control the amount of foundation more accurately.
It covers my acne and very red cheeks and nose so well. It's not 100% flawless but it's probably at least a 90-95% depending on my acne.
Also, it's the only foundation that doesn't break me out. It's great for sensitive skin.
