I'm shopping for a new phone (on Sprint), my DH has the Galaxy 3 and he seems to like it. I've heard pretty good things about the Note. I don't currently have an Ipad or notebook for work, so it appeals to me because I could use it in meetings to take a few notes or when I travel occasionally.
However, I'm worried about the size...is it too big? To be honest, I mostly talk on the phone in my car and I have bluetooth (so it's hands free). Other than that, I do some texting, photos and internet surfing.
I haven't had a chance to see it in person yet, hoping to do so soon.
Though to your point about actually talking on the phone...it's so rare anymore that I actually pick up the phone and talk on it. It's almost always through hands free, otherwise I'm texting or using the web/calendar/other features, all of which are better with the bigger screen.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't talk much!

My friend got one a few weeks ago and she loves it. She has an otterbox case on it so it is even bigger, but she never carries it in her pocket anyway (it doesn't fit) I think the size would grow on me, and I kind of wish I had held out for it.

I usually just lurk, but I have the Note II and I love it. You get use to the size quick. Now a normal size phone looks so tiny to me. I don't talk on the phone much at all, but when I do the size doesn't bother me at all. I mostly text, email, and browse the internet, and its perfect for that.
