So after I ordered mine and got responses that they look dated I am wondering what every one else thinks of them. I am little confused since I just saw quite a lot of those by famous designers on the Nordstrom online. I mean if they are dated, then why are designers still selling them (or trying to sell them)? So do you think they are trying to revive the look? shop.nordstrom.com/sr?keyword=pointed+toe+pumps&origin=keywordsearch
Do you think they should be worn by a certain age group? Only with certain clothes?
I don't mind them. I have a few pairs, I usually wear them with trousers. I don't like them with long formal dresses, it looks weird with the point is sticking out.

this. I love them with trousers or long jeans where the hem nearly grazes the floor.
I agree that they look awesome with trouser pants. I have small feet so if I wear anything but a more pointed heel the pants just cover my feet and it looks weird.
However, I can't put my finger on it but some of the ones in your link do look dated to me, while some don't. I think the less pointy ones look more "in" to me right now. Kind of like these: www.aldoshoes.com/us/women/shoes/high-heels/88333722-troiano/61
Narockshard, I think the one you posted is called Almond toe which is pointed but not as bad as the ones I got! LOL! I don't think the almond toes look dated.
I still wear pointed toe pumps to work with dress pants. I feel like they elongate my legs, which I need bc I'm short. I don't mind if they aren't at the height of fashion right now, it's only for work.
I think they were waaaaay in 8 years ago or so, then there was a bit of a backlash, and now there's a definite revival. For the most part, the point is less severe now. I think it's kind of refreshing after years of rounded toe chunky platforms.
I was the one that said they look dated!! To clarify, I don't think ALL pointed toes look dated (like the cute ones posted in this thread), but for some reason, the ones in question looked dated (they looked more pointy than the ones posted here).
I personally don't really like them for me because I have wide feet, especially in my toes (stupid bunions!), so they usually look weird or are very uncomfortable on me, though I do have a pair of cobalt croc vintage ones (talk about dated...I'm all over the place, lol) that I love.
I agree with the examples Mav posted. I like that pointed toe pumps elongate my legs, I'm short, and I need all the help I can get haha. But the super long pointed toe pumps just look awful...and like a PITA to walk in.
I love the way my KS Licorice pumps look with just about everything. I don't have a lot of long dresses, so I wouldn't wear them with those anyway. However, crop pants, skirts -- pencil/A-line/tulip, jeans, pants. Love it all.
Yes, I love mine so much too. I have them in more than one color and I would happily buy more.
