I graduated in 2000, so I've skipped 2 reunions now.
For the 5 year reunion, the invitation was post-marked the day before the event.
For the 10-year reunion, they were charging $150/person and you still had to pay for food and drinks (soda and alcohol). The $150 was to pay for just the event. It was in the banquet room (i.e. upstairs) of one of the many bars on party row in the city. I saw the pics; 20 people (so, 10 from my graduating class and their dates/spouses) showed up. There were 250 in my graduating class.
I have never been to one. As far as I can remember, there was an invite discussion something or sorts for the 5 year. I haven't heard anything since. SO, next year will be interesting if something materializes for 15.
I went to my 10 year reunion and actually had a blast. And believe you me, I was NOT popular in high school. But the ten years gave people perspective. There wasn't that weird divide that there was in high school. Most of the biggest assholes from high school actually *GASP* grew up and just ended up being normal, decent people.

I went to our 10 year. I probably won't attend my 20. I think part of the reason I don't feel a big pull to go is that a large percentage of the people H and I are around is made up of people we went to school with. I can't see spending the money to hang out with people I already hang out with.
The 10 year reunion was kind of a weekend long thing, drinks at a local bar on Friday, the "official" reunion dinner on Saturday, and a family friendly picnic at the park on Sunday.
We went to our 10 year. I was dreading it, but it turned out to be a good time. The people I was most happy to see came as s big surprise. And I won a Macy's gift card in a door raffle, so that was cool.
A 5-year reunion? I've never heard of such a thing. I thought they were only done on the 10s.
I did not go to my 10-year reunion. FB has negated the need to catch up with my high school friends, and why would I want to see the others? I also had little desire to travel for it.
I doubt I'll go to my 20-year reunion. Same reasons.

Our high school does the 5s. There was a 5, 10, a 15 coming up and etc.
I do not know if my HS class has their shit together enough to do reunions on the regular. 3/4 of them probably all live in the same neighborhood anyhow. There was one at 10 years, but I was one of those people that they couldn't reach, darn it.
Who wants to spend 4th of July weekend at a HS reunion?

This is pretty much right where I'm at. Plus I have no interest in flying myself and a four-month-old across the country for this or any other reason. FFS I'd have to stay at my mom's house and you know I don't want to do that.

I haven't gone to any so far - and this year (as someone pointed out to me just this morning) will be # 25. EEEEK!
But - I was going to go to 20, then I got PG and would have been about 8 months along. Seeing a bunch of people who I haven't seen in 20 years totally sober? Nope- wasn't going to do it!
But, from that reunion, a bunch of people got on FB and my one friend encouraged me to join and I did. From that, there have been a couple mini-reunions that I've actually gone to (which I realized was MUCH more my introverted speed - a few old faces at a time).
I then hosted one this past summer that was also in support of one of our fellow alumnus who is dealing w/ a cancer fight.
I really wouldn't have expected to get involved w/ this crew of people in this way, but it's actually been enjoyable. Many of which I wasn't friend w/ in high school - but all in all, they are good people and it's been fun to reconnect.

My ten-year is in April and I'm on the fence about whether or not I want to go. There are only a few people I'd care to catch up with. I just really hate small talk, and spending all night talking about what I do sounds like the worst.
My 10 year was last year. They sent an invitation to my parents house. It was 150 dollars to go to a place in a neighborhood near me that I hate, and they gave you 3 drink coupons. I would still be in touch with anyone from High School if I wanted to be. Facebook has kind of made it an eh event.
I might have gone to my 10-year, but I lived 2,000 miles away at that point. I'm actually still really good friends with some girls from HS, and I manage to see most of them at least once or twice a year for weddings and such, so I'm not torn up about missing reunions.
I went to my 10th, it was fine. Some people were still clearly assholes stuck in HS roles, but a lot of people were cool. I was surprised by some of the people who remembered me and wanted to talk. If they do a 15 year, it would be this year and I would consider going.

I still talk to at least 20 people from HS pretty regularly. My close circle of friends is 4 girls from HS. I planned my 10 year and I plan to go to my 20 year (hopefully minus 20 lbs from now). My HS was fun. We had a few of the typical b!tches but they weren't as bad as most schools and no one paid attention to them at the 10 year. Everyone else got along really great and had a good time.
