I'm picking my way through Fever by Mary Beth Keene. It's okay. I'm in a mini reading slump; the internet beckons and I've been sucked in way too much lately.
I'm listening to Black Rose by Nora Roberts. It's nice, but not as good as Blue Dahlia.
I'm very slowly getting started on City of Dark Magic by Magnus Flyte. I think I'll really like it once I have a chance to get anywhere with it, but I haven't been making a lot of reading time this week.

I finished A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown, awesome memoir/biography. I am not back to Stephen King's 11/22/63. I just haven't been able to devote as much to reading as I would like to so it's slow going. My goal is to finish it this weekend. Not sure what I want to read afterwards. Maybe Anne Rice's new book, the first one in her new series about werewolves. The name escapes me right now.

I'm reading Paris Was Ours, a collection of essays written by people who lived in Paris. I have Elizabeth the Queen sitting on my Kindle waiting for me to start (and read in the next week, oops!), and Gayle Forman's new one, Just One Day waiting for me at the library.
I just finished The House at Riverton. It is my IRL bookclub pick for next month. I have started The Submission. About 50 pages in and I like it. Totaly different books.
I'm reading Fool Moon by Jim Butcher and Let's Pretend This Never Happened by the Jenny Lawson. (I take a book to work to read during lunch/breaks, and one I read at home).

I'm slowly working through the Jim Butcher series also. I enjoy it but the books are long.

This collection sounds interesting. Did you like it?
I just started Go Tell it on the Mountain by James Baldwin. I like it so far, but we'll see how it goes.

I discovered these around Christmas and have read the first two so far. I'm a big fan.

It's a mixed bag, which is pretty typical, I think. But they're all pretty short, so it's a quick read.
I've just abandoned City of Dark Magic in favor of Julie Hyzy's latest, Fonduing Fathers. I finally got in a few reading hours yesterday and City of Dark Magic just wasn't working for me. A cozy mystery seems perfect to start on a a snowy day.
ally, I'd love to hear what you think of The Submission. I keep eyeing it but haven't picked it up yet.
