Where do you store down payment funds?

DH and I are about to sell our old house, and aren't planning to buy another one for about a year. We'll have some proceeds from the sale of our house, and I was wondering where you'd recommend saving this $$...We plan to continue to save money on top of this so would need to be able to easily transfer from Chase bank into this savings account. Any thoughts?

Online savings account.  I think AmEx has 0.9% right now, and that's the best I've seen.  FNBO Direct is 0.85%.

Okay cool. We have ing that we use for savings but I wasn't sure if there were recorded for places that have higher rates because they aren't quite as liquid...

Sallie Mae is at .95 for their money market. We just transferred most of our ING account to them.

I have ours in a sallie mae savings account. We don't know when we're moving so I could probably start investing some of it, but I'm pretty risk adverse with it so I haven't yet.

Wow, those interest rates are great. We earned a measly $200 in interest this past year for 6 figures in savings. I need to start shopping around.
