Buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips Crab dip with wheat thins Buffalo snack mix (popcorn and peanuts with seasoning) Black bean and corn dip with baked tortilla chips Feta dip served with french bread
I'm going to Costco and plan to buy something else, like meatballs, little smokies, wings, etc that is more substantial, and maybe some other premade app thing.

Bucky: how many people... I think something like pigs in a blanket, or hotdogs, or meatballs...or some kind of dish like jambalaya would be good...you're good on snack things and definitely don't think you need wings.
My menu: Jambalaya Chili Hot dogs Cheese platter Chips/Dip
What others are bringing: wings mac n cheese veggie tray taco dip queso with beef dip cookie cake
We are having wings , veggie chili, macaroni salad, deviled eggs, bean dip, guacamole, salsa, ranch dip, and chips. Humus and veggies. For dessert, chocolate chip bars and someone else is bringing something but I don't know what.
SO was in charge of the menu since he's the football fan. he went to two different grocery stores to get everything, LOL.
it's only the two of us because I have exams the next day. we are having: -spinach and artichoke dip w/ tortilla chips -guac and tortilla chips -sausage pizza -loaded potato skins -beer
We're having 9, maybe 10 people (the 10th person is a vegetarian, but we don't know for sure if he's coming).
This is what's on the menu so far, and I feel it's very dip heavy. - Meatballs in a cherry pomegranate habanero sauce (bottle sauce) - clam dip + potato chips - Velveeta & Rotel + tortilla chips - assorted soda and tequila shots - crackers
Others are brining - more soda and/or alcohol of choice - meat and cheese tray - seven layer dip - onion dip - chocolate cake - ice cream bars
I know from past parties that if I buy a veggie tray no one will eat them (except maybe carrots, but plain carrots can be meh, and I don't want to throw in yet another dip). But I feel like I need something else to round things out.
Nonny what about mozzarella sticks and marinara so you have another non-meat option that is a little more substantial than chips + dip? if the vegetarian isn't coming, I would do wings or sliders instead. pizza also makes people happy too!
Thanks tacom, the mozzarella sticks is a great idea. I know most everyone in the group loves them.
I personally hate wings, and want to avoid the hassle of sliders. We did pizza last year I was trying to branch out with the meatballs and something else. It's hard to plan the menu when everyone wants a different type of dip (I've been trying to nix the clam dip since only my H and I eat it, but he won't hear of it).

We're having 9 people I think. None of them are huge eaters, except 1 guy and myself, and I'm watching what I'm eating so I hope to not totally pig out.
I couldn't find the crab I needed at my little grocery store, so now I'm not sure if I need to make a separate trip tomorrow to another store or just nix it. I ended up buying jalepeno poppers at Costco. I debated meatballs and/or potato skins but I was afraid they wouldn't get eaten.
So now we have 4 dips (including something my friend is bringing), a snack mix, jalepeno poppers, and another friend is bringing a dessert. I'm not sure if either of the other couples coming are bringing anything, I'll be kind of surprised if they show up empty handed but haven't heard anything from them so who knows. I feel like we don't have enough, but I bet you anything if I were to make a chili or pulled pork or something, either no one would eat it or no one would eat the apps. I'm trying not to go crazy buying too much.
Someone tell me I'm crazy and will have plenty of food? lol. For those with heavy food menus, how many people are coming and are there lots of big eaters?

We have 18 confirmed and 4 maybes. About half are big eaters.
ETA: After looking at my menu, I wonder if I am going to have enough!
I still haven't gone to the store for the pork either. Eek!
