DH's assistant is currently on maternity leave at about 36 weeks. She's been feeling under the weather and dragging. She's one of those "work through anything" and loyal-to-the-bone types, a bit of an oddball and sweet as anything. She's been with her DH for over ten years, married for three and trying for a child for at least two years and will be an amazing mother. Not that any of this matters but I like her a lot on both a personal and professional level. (Yes, I know her on a professional level as well.)
She messaged DH yesterday to say she got checked out by the doctor and it's not just under the weather but she's been diagnosed with the flu, ordered to bedrest and isolation and anytime she's out of her room to wear a mask. They also said that it may have transferred and infected/affected the baby.
