Back from RE

[Cheesecake]

SA ordered for DH, which will be done around the time of my CD21 blood work. Next appointment feb 25, after which if SA is ok an HSG.
Laparoscopy was discussed for me, but with my kidneys an HSG is bad enough, no need to add general anesthesia to the mix before we know for sure.

She also advised me to lose weight, which is when I lost it. Despite the fact that I'd love to weigh less, I've finally come to accept that I'll never be skinny and that this (over) weight is the weight that apparently works best for my kidney health. The idea that I really need to compromise my kidney health to slightly better reproductive health is just sucky!

Oh, and the SA... it can only be scheduled at 8am... DH usually gets up at 9-9.30, so needless to say he's not pleased with that...

Oh, my H realizes he's got the better end of this deal. He just gets annoyed when organizations/businesses aren't flexible with their hours. They said that 8am 'is a convenient time for everyone who wants to do their SA before work'. Generalizations like that piss him off (and me too, honestly. I know people who start at 7.30 or earlier, DH starts at 21. Stating that 8am is convenient for everyone is bullshit

this is what my H did too. it was nice because he could do it on his own schedule.

Oh, he got the special cup, but they only allow you to turn it in on Mon, Tues or Weds at 8am. That's what makes it so ridiculous...

We just finished with the HSG test ... when DH had to provide his sample, he had to go to the lab. They didn't have a special room for him, just put him in the bathroom without so much as a JcPenny's underwear catalog . LOL poor guy!

Oh, they were actually pretty nice about the fact that it might be hard to produce some daus.
They said that with any other appointment that's cancalled last minutes, they require a (good) explanation, with this they don't even ask, just schedule again.
