WHY the F do they make it SOOO hard to de-activate or hide your profile but yet still show up online and such?
So....I just had the talk with the guy I am dating....he had already removed his profile, so I removed mine this weekend. BUT I want to make sure I do it "correctly" so that I dont show up as "active/online/etc" and look like a lying liar who lies.
OKC- I disabled my account. Is this sufficient? POF- I "hid" my account. Is this sufficient? Match- I used to have an active account there but havent used it in months.....I "think" I hide my profile or something...not sure....anything more I need to do? I dont get emails from them anymore.
Thanks!
ETA: i did delete the two apps on my phone. And I never use my computer to log in, except match
Ugh. Maybe remove any apps on your phone? I hid mine, but deleted them altogether and filtered all email to the trash after Mijo and I had been together for a while.

I know for Match I had to "hide" my profile, so it would not be visible in any searches but I would still get emails with my weekly matches and such, so I had to go into my preferences or something and select for them to not send me any email.

<Devil's Advocate(devil)> Because the people who want to hide or deactivate are usually the ones that someone thought were date-worthy! Clearly you're good stuff, so they want to keep you around to market the website! </Devil's Advocate(devil)>
