My super-awesome vet (who is also a DINC - which adds to the number of reasons why I love her) is leaving her current practice. I called to make an appointment for Bailey (the practice I take the kittehs to has 4 vets) and I specifically wnated Dr. Molly (she works every other Saturday). The receptionist told me that Dr. Molly's last day is May 31.
I asked if she was switching practices because I figured I would just follow where ever she went. Ummm, no. She and her husband had a house built somewhere in NC and she's starting a new practice there. I was so bummed!
I guess maybe it's a good thing because I was hauling the kittehs 45 min for their check-ups (I love Dr. Molly that much), so I found another veterinary clinic much closer to home (maybe a 15 min ride), which will be way less stressful for the kittehs. It's made up of 3 guys and 3 girls who look pretty young (probably early to mid-30s).
Now the trick will be capturing Bailey by surprise and stuffing her in the carrier tomorrow morning. Last time she went she scratched me up with her back claws and peed on my leg.

Oooh, that stinks. When you find a vet you like, it's hard to switch.
LMAO at the image of you wrangling the cat into the carrier. That is one thing dogs are infinitely easier at. Just say, "you want to go in car?" and they go NUTS.
