I use Sarah. My name is impossible for people to spell/pronounce.
This bit me in the ass once when picking up takeout a couple months ago. Apparently, another Sarah called & placed an order. They ran my card w/her more $$ order, & had to refund the transaction. This is a random Mexican restaurant on a weeknight, and we were the only 2 orders. Weird coincidence.
Of course I totally blurted out, "Sarah isn't even my real name!" after it happened. The hostess gave me a total WTF look.
Nikki. I don't even know where it came from the first time I used it. But I've stuck with it. Much easier than people trying to figure out my real name.

I don't ever go to starbucks or places like that so if I have to give my name I am usually not alone, if we are putting down a name for a table at a restaurant or something like that I give my H's name, it's easier to spell and pronounce. My name isn't even difficult, it is Anna, but no one ever hears it right.

I have never heard of this either. Since I have a difficult name for people to understand, I should really use one. I HATE the short version of my name.
My name is Melissa. Common and simple enough... except people always misspell is Malissa/Melisa/Mellissa etc etc etc. Wtf people? My parents were smart enough to name me with the CORRECT Greek spelling.
A few months ago the high as fuck barista at Starbucks spelled it Malisuh....are you fucking kidding me? How do you get an H in there?!
I have a pretty easy name, but H's is really unusual. I've never known him to use a pseudonym though. He seems to get a kick out of people stumbling over it

I use Anne. I don't care if they spell it Ann. I think that Anne is a name that is pretty hard to fuck up.
Once I used my real name and what came out on the cup was Shooshan. I have no idea how that person went from my name to Shooshan.I mean the closest thing I can think of is Susanne and that is not my name.
