I have been idly looking at online house listings in my area, and I swear to got, there must be some requirement that you have to hit the pipe before you photograph houses. Tamb showed us how people don't think to remove animal heads, but people also don't think to clean all the toys out of the living room, clean the litterbox, actually show the bedrooms, or open the blinds so there is actual light int the room. I have also seen way too many pictures of rooms pointing into a corner, and you can't see most of the actual room. Then there are the ones where they don't remove the time stamp, and it's hot pink or some other really distracting color.
What is up with this? Isn't that why you pay an agent, to help you put good pictures of the house out there so people want to come see it?
I know this post is kind of boring, so here are some funny pictures of bad home staging I found with google.
When we housed shopped last year we were continuously suprised at how shitty realtor pictures were. Like focus in on the couch for the living room shot.I don't care about the couch, show me the room! We took our own photos with our nice camera.
Also there were a couple houses that were appealing but in the photos I saw ashtrays, which means they smoked in the house. Umm no.

I hate when it seems like they're more concerned about taking pics of the furniture than the room. Hi, I don't give a shit about your headboard or dining set; I just want to see the space. We've seen some doozies over our several house hunts, that's for sure.
