2. I'm still sad that people think that you need to get rid of a dog before you have kids. I grew up with a dog and so did DH. My puppy is my baby, why would I get rid of one baby to have another one?
3. At this point DH thinks that temping and stuff is to much work. Which makes me sad as I am starting to temp. O well maybe after a month or so of doing this he will grow to find it interesting.
1. cycle 2, CD 24 (~12-14 DPO), expecting AF tomorrow (temp below coverline now).
2. I went to a Super Bowl party with so many babies and pregnant women. I feel like I'm phoning in the baby excitement when I'm around babies but I know I'll be stoked when it's my own. I'm also wrestling w/jealousy over my SIL (due in April). I keep praying about it, but it creeps up on me. Bad Simpson.
3. DH hates the sound of my thermometer beeping. I try to muzzle it as best I can. He's not super involved. I suspect he wants to be surprised. Once in a while he reminds me to take my prenatal but he loves not having to remind me to take my pill.
Bonus question: Based on earlier thread, anyone with a pet planning on doing anything different after baby comes? From re-homing to re-training?
We have a pretty spirited pup, we've been trying to stop him from jumping on people. I think I'll keep his nails trimmed a bit more. Hmm, I wonder if exposure to his flea meds are okay for baby and pregnant women? Probably better than the fleas themselves.
ETA: AF came a bit early on the evening of CD24. I told DH and asked if he was surprised or disappointed. DH said he wasn't really surprised but he was disappointed. <heart melting>
1. Cycle 2, CD 21 2. I am embarrassed about my neurotic post on here the other day. I am actually much calmer in real life. 3. DH wants it to be spontaneous and romantic, and I told him that we don't do the deed enough for spontaneity to result in a baby. Also, WHY does my thermometer beep eleventy billion times? I need to find one that doesn't do that.
For the pets, we're trying to get them to calm down when people come in. I think there will be a big problem with confusion between baby toys and dog toys since they all look the same. You know those pens they have for dogs that are open on top but gated all around? I think it would be easier to put me and the baby in that to play and let the dogs have full run of the house.
1. Where are you in your TTC journey? Cycle 7, CD1 and totally deflated.
2. Anything interesting/funny/neurotic to share TTC related? I requested an appointment with my OB/gyn to discuss testing. My doc will give a urologist recommendation for DH to get an SA too, which means one less appointment. I am kind of at the point where I need reassurance that everything is working, because the doubt is just way more prevalent right now. Conversely if something is wrong and this isn't going to happen (I am not open to hormone/steroid injections), then I need to face that, deal with it, and start thinking more about adoption and discussing it with DH.
3. QOTW/QTKY How involved is your DH/SO when it comes to TTC? Is he actively involved in temping? He thought it was all a little nutso at the start and wanted to just take it easy, but since my cycles are irregular, the OPKs at least are really a necessity for me. I don't get a temp shift (either bec I sleep w/mouth open etc etc, or possibly bec I do not O), so I have stopped temping. DH has gone from "of course you're not pg yet; it takes time!" to "....I'm sorry you're not pregnant." So we're both feeling it.
ETA: As for pets, I plan on taking video of my dog and my child interacting and becoming a youtube sensation.
1. Where are you in your TTC journey? Approaching the end of Cycle 3, AF is programmed for Saturday. I'm trying to be patient and not test before then (I don't promise I'll make it...)
2. Anything interesting/funny/neurotic to share TTC related? Speaking of testing, there is only one brand of tests available here which I find annoying. Plus, said PG tests are only available at pharmacies so you have to actually ask for them. For some reason, I'm always extremely embarrassed when I have to ask the pharmacist for one. And, I'm even more embarrassed to go back to the same pharmacist to buy new tests (there's only 1 per pack). I've already gone to the 2 pharmacies near my house so I'll have to go find a new one now. I know I'm being silly. I'll have to remember to buy a bunch of tests when I go back to the US.
3. QOTW/QTKY How involved is your DH/SO when it comes to TTC? Is he actively involved in temping? DH is involved in his own way.
1. Where are you in your TTC journey? Cycle 4 CD 16 Grrr
2. Anything interesting/funny/neurotic to share TTC related? I'm 99% this is an anovulatory cycle which sucks. I was so excited last month to ovulate and to not this month feels like a step backwards. Add on top of that the frustration of significant spotting and I feel like poo. Thank goodness I have brand new Kate Spades on my feet to cheer me up!
3. QOTW/QTKY How involved is your DH/SO when it comes to TTC? Is he actively involved in temping? He helps me analyze my chart and reads my opks if he is in the bathroom when they are done. He barely remembers me temping most days...it's actually pretty funny when he asks panicy in the morning "did you temp??"
2. I am embarrassed about my neurotic post on here the other day. I am actually much calmer in real life.
Don't be! I personally think it's totally normal to be curious about the next steps in a process, even if you're not ready to take them yet. Everyone is going to approach this whole mess differently, and I find it ridiculous when people suggest that there's only one way to do it, or that someone other than a doctor should be telling you what you "need" to do and when on a matter that relates to your body and your health.
1. Cycle 3 off BC CD7 2. We are officially TTC this cycle!! 3. DH isn't very involved in temping. He did decide that we had waited long enough with me being off BC and he is more than ready to be trying. Pets - we have two cats and I am hoping they will be ok with a new baby. One of them is very good with us but hates new people. I am hoping she accepts the baby as one of us. I can't believe someone would think that babies and pets can't coexist.

1. Pretty sure cycle 6 is ending and 7 is starting today. 2. I'm a bucket of neuroses but not in any funny ways. 3. He knows what's going on and is supportive but he doesn't like, sit and analyze my charts. It was pretty awesome of him this morning that, when we woke up to the sound of the dog getting ready to throw up, he ushered him into the hallway (no carpet) and dealt with it himself until my thermometer beeped and I could get up. (File this one under, "Things 16-year-old-me would never have expected to be a romantic gesture someday.")
ETA because I just saw the pet question. Despite his 4AM pukestravaganza this morning, you would have to pry my dog from my cold, dead hands. He has so far been awesome with our friends' and family's babies so I'm not super concerned. He also will not chew anything on the ground unless he's confirmed that it's for him (we have to actually hand it to him, or he'll bring it to us and we say "go ahead" or "no") so toys will likely be safe.
He really likes licking baby hands so if we're lucky enough to have one of our own, I will have to do less work to keep it clean.

I was going to use this question but I didn't want to be AW.
We have plans to continue with our puppies training classes and make sure he is around kids as much as possible.
So far he seems to realize that kids are smaller and he has to be gentler playing with them. He is amazing with kids of all ages. (Other then when they first come over he can be a little too excited but he calms done quickly, we are working on this)

I think it's a good topic that you started - I wish our pup had exposure to kids. He tends to bark at them and growl when they come near. But I think that's a protective thing, not an 'I hate kids thing.' I wish we had more kids aged 2-8 in our neighborhood.

1. Cycle 9, CD16
2. Not really sure what is up this month- temp is now at my post-O usual, but no CH and I'm not sure I ovulated. This would be a first in the 9 cycles we've tried I had all the signs except a clear temp rise. OPK's have been getting progressively lighter- today's test line was barely visible.
3. H often asks about my "pee sticks" (OPKs) and what my temp is doing. I try not to tell him too much but he doesn't seem to mind, since he asks. He feels bad that I'm upset about it taking so long.
4. We have two cats and the only thing I'm worried about is that there will not be room on the couch for all of us. The cats hang on the couch with us at night, they really like being near us.
thoseareradishes - was there anything weird about CD12? Because without that temp, I would guess you potentially Od on CD9, but without early temps it's harder to be sure. Or if could be that your body geared up, didn't ovulate and will do it later. Hang in there!
Not that I can remember. I fiddled with FF for a while, and the only CH I could get were on CD12. If I didn't ovulate yet, I think the chances that I will are slim, since my temps are now in my usual post-O range (if they stay there). But anything is possible!
2. I am still sick so I went to the CVS minute clinic to rule out a sinus infection, but it's just a damn cold that won't quit...so I now I am on mucinex, cough meds and nasal spray....blah...I just want to feel better
3. DH asks what my temp is doing after I confirm O to make sure it stays up, etc. He will check on my OPKs while I start in the shower, etc. He also avoids taking hot baths when I am fertile lol.

1. Where are you in your TTC journey? Cycle 4, CD20
2. Anything interesting/funny/neurotic to share TTC related? I have a funny, when I told DH that I got a + OPK I said, "do you know what that means?" and he responded with "Armageddon?" ha
3. QOTW/QTKY How involved is your DH/SO when it comes to TTC? Is he actively involved in temping? I keep him up to date on what is going on, but I think he feels like it will happen when it happens.

1. Where are you in your TTC journey? TTC#2 for 3 years. CD9
2. Anything interesting/funny/neurotic to share TTC related?
3. QOTW/QTKY How involved is your DH/SO when it comes to TTC? Is he actively involved in temping? He has been involved because of the IF treatments. He prefers not to when the fertile days are until after I o. He doesn't like the added pressure.
1. Where are you in your TTC journey? Taking a break from ttc, but on CD5
2. Anything interesting/funny/neurotic to share TTC related? I finally got my period!!! Yay, I have never been so happy for it to arrive before. I hope I ovulate this month even though we are waiting.
3. QOTW/QTKY How involved is your DH/SO when it comes to TTC? Is he actively involved in temping? I tried to explain ttc based on what I read on fertility friend to my h and it was totally over his head. The only thing he asks me is "Is the egg on the loose?" which means "Have you ovulated yet?" Or he asks "Is there eggnog today?" which means "Is there ewcm?" Lol
1) Cycle 2, CD 18 2) I gave up temping this cycle b/c my coworkers kept getting me drunk and it was messing with my temps. They insist on using our full per diem when are at conferences/meetings so we end each night drinking. And damn, I love wine. 3) DH didn't seem super excited when we started TTC so I asked him why. Apparently he was concerned b/c he knows nothing about pregnancy and babies. He asked me if I could find some books for him. Here I thought he didn't want to have a baby yet and all he wanted was to study up first. I bought him books the next day!
1. Cycle 2 CD 28 possibly 7 DPO. See #2. 2. I think this is an anovulatory cycle. My temps have been up but I've been sleeping nights (with hubby who uses an electric blanket) and I've been seriously sleep deprived the past 3-4 days. My temp dropped today so I dunno. And left ovary area was cramping all afternoon. So I'm being neurotic about this cycle. :-( 3. He asks whether I'm ovulating or not and how do my temps look but he doesn't know what anything means yet. He still likes a bit of romance in the BD.
ETA we have 2 dogs: a golden retriever and a terrier mix. They are our furbabies and will not go anywhere. However, I do not plan to leave them alone with children, nor have I ever. I've seen too many dog attacks in the ER from unsupervised animals. My husband feels the same way.

1. Cycle 9, CD8...still have my period :-(
2. I'm having a hard time looking ahead at all of the things I won't be pregnant for this year (our birthdays, Mother's Day, high school reunion), and am dreading the fact that each month not pregnant is another month seeing my peers get pregnant and dreading inevitable "when will you have kids" comments. (None of these are why U want to be pregnant, they're just annoying reminders that I'n still not.)
3. DH is pretty involved, and has been since I started charting (to avoid, at the time) almost 4 years ago. He'll look at my charts or OPKs with me, and if we're OOT he always makes sure I temped since it is outside of my normal routine/environment.
Bonus: We're not sure what we're going to do with the cats in regards to them waking us at night and my desire to co-sleep, but getting rid of them is not on the table!
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

Welcome!
I hope your stay with us is short and sweet! I also hope you feel comfortable with us and stick around to post.
1. Cycle 1 - official, CD22 2. I am always worried about my large, overly excited dog's reaction over potentially having a baby in a tight house. It's going to be a lifestyle change for him as well, for sure. 3. He's involved, but not overly involved. He knows more about the HCG/LHH lingos than I do, so he helps on that front.
2. My dogs are really interested in my OPKs. I've resorted to locking them out of the bathroom so they don't try to sniff around while I'm trying to get a reading.
3. My DH is not involved at all. We've never discussed temps or my cycle. Now I'm wondering if that's strange...
3. He was supposed to go in and give a sample so we can see the RE. He has had it on his to do list since October. Still hasn't gone. I wouldn't say he is terribly involved.

Is YH afraid of the possible results from the test?
