at the salon, does the stylist blow dry your hair for free or charge extra? I got my hair done today and I didn't ask for my hair to be dried, so I assumed it came with the service. Much to my surprise my bill was $30 extra for the blow dry. Not cool. The 10 minutes it took to dry my hair is not worth $30 to me.
I've been to very nice salons that dry/style as part of the service so I assumed this was the same.
It's always been part of the service. I could see a few more bucks for the blowout... I'm talking MAYBE a $5 upcharge. But THIRTY FREAKIN' DOLLARS!? No way!
My stylists have always charged extra for blow dry, i usually leave with a wet head bc i rarely like how they do it and im usually going home for the night after my appt so i dont need it to look nice
Its pretty high, not sure if its ever been 30, but i know at least 20
I've never paid for a blow dry/style. It's just part of the service. I'd be mega annoyed, especially if they didn't tell me beforehand.
Apparent, the appointment was booked as a partial hilite/blow dry, so I can't blame the stylist. The receptionist acted like a bitch and implied I should have all of their prices memorized and should have known it would be $30 extra, although this was my first time there. I talked to the owner and she took the charge off my bill. I'm still annoyed because I came off as a bitch and a cheap ass for their mistake.
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I pay $30 for the blowout. When I need cut, highlights and blowout it's over $100.
If i don't want the blowout, they will dry it with the blower just so I don't leave with wet hair but it's not done with a brush and it doesn't look nice.
How much was it without the blow out? Did you get high lights or just a cut? Mine is included but I've heard of this at some of the salons here.
I just got partial hilites. which was $70. I'd say that's a pretty average price around here.I don't understand the logic of charging $30 for a blow dry/round brush that took 10 minutes, when I paid $70 for a hilite that took an hour and a half.
