DH has gotten to the point where he needs a walker. His brother gave him one but honestly I'm really concerned that BIL has cockroaches at his house and I certainly don't want them here *gag*.
Will leaving the walker outside in freezing temperatures be enough to kill any potential critters?
I told DH to just get a new one but he said this one is perfectly fine.
Sorry! Get new one! Cockroaches are survivors.....bleach may not do the trick entirely. Can you get one through your insurance? We have so many here (lots of broken hips these last couple of months in my family). I wish you were close by I'd give you one of ours.

Is there any place on the walker where a cockroach could have laid eggs? Like does it have the tennis balls on the bottom? If it's one solid piece, I think it should be okay.
Give it a good inspection for egg cases. If it's all 1 solid piece it should be ok. If has any loose joints or cracks or parts that come off easily, I'd be hesitant to take it. Those damn things can fit in the tiniest cracks imaginable.
They like paper an food the most. I don't think they'd hang out in a walker much,
If it were me id strip it of anything extra (padding or tennis balls etc) and spray it with some around the house type bug spray. After a day or so I'd clean it and bring it in.
