And not in the good way.
On Saturday, DS got a fever and cough and hasn't been back to school yet. His fever broke today and he felt much better so it looks like he'll go to school tomorrow.
This morning, DH woke up feeling like death and couldn't even get out of bed. Fever, chills, headache. FLU like symptoms. He's barely functional. DD says she feels fine. I felt fine. Until tonight. I feel...off. I CANNOT get sick. I'm in week 2 of my long term sub job (goes until April). I better just be tired.

a couple of weeks ago i thought i had the flu. i actually went to the doctor (i never go to the doctor) and it was actually strep throat. i freaking sucked. i'd have him get checked for both.

We've already inquired about tamiflu. They're not Rxing it right now. WTF. But we're not even positive it's "the flu" anyway, so. But thanks, guys. I'm hoping we can get by easy
I would start taking Emergen-C and Cold-eze rightstatnow. Ugh, I hope you don't get sick!
How's the job going so far? What are you teaching?
I took some Emergen-C. Hope it works!
I'm teaching Elementary 1 Montessori (grades 1,2,3). It's...going? LOL! It appears there was a reason the teacher had a mental breakdown (that's the rumor and also most likely reason for leaving)- there are a few REALLY tough kids in her class. The rest of the E1 team are all giving me lots of pitying looks (and help, thank god), but so far, I'm holding my own in managing them and handling the behaviour. They seem to like me, though, so that's going to help. The hardest part is the planning- the teacher just up and left and didnt leave anything behind...no plans, no notes, etc. And they're with me for all subjects but science and art, and have to plan for three grade levels. It's challenging. But one day at a time, right? At least I have humor
Oh man, that sounds tough. And gah, I had a long-term sub job where the teacher gave me nothing, and it was really, really hard. You don't have the whole summer to prep when that happens! And 3 preps...man. It sounds like you're up to the job, though, and that's awesome that the kids are responding well Good luck!
