I haven't tried because I cannot get over all the little pods. If they were already out of the fruit and in a bowl in their little pods, I'd be okay. But the whole fruit + pods? No.

You know that trader joes sells just the seeds? You could put them in a bowl and eat away!
How could you NOT eat the whole seed? Like you would suck on it and then spit it out? That is gross. I love pomegranates. You eat the whole seed. You buy them dark red and heavy so that the seeds are red and juicy.

They sell them like that, but it is ridiculously expensive.
The trick is to cut a circle off the edge. Then, slice along one of the natural divisions. Separate in two pieces. Then work your way separating and removing the white stuff. When they are really ripe, they literally fall off the pod.

The closest Trader Joes to me is in Pikesville, MD 103 miles away.

DH eats the whole seed. I can't eat them because I'm allergic to them. He found a YouTube video on a way to open them and submerse them in water that is supposed to be really easy.
