I'm reading The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes-- and Why. I thought it was going to be more of a prepper-survival-plan type book, but mostly it's been focusing on psychology and the way the human brain responds in times of severe stress. I really like it, even if it isn't giving me a blueprint for surviving the Next Horrible Thing.
I'm reading After the Fog, too, but I paused on that when The Unthinkable came in for me at the library.
I'm listening to Beauty Queens on audio.
I kinda want to make DH go see Warm Bodies this weekend, but it's not playing at our local theater, so we'll see. We're going to have all of this time now that football is over!

I am about a third of the way through Catch-22. I have tried to do it two or three times before, but I thought I might actually be ready now. It's going better, but I don't think it's going to be one of my favorites.
I don't have many plans. I'll be going out with a pretty big group tomorrow and I might try to wrangle a couple of friends to do something with tonight.
I am still reading The Submission, I have been crazy busy and had trouble finding the time to read much this week. I like it, I feel like there could be a twist or something coming.
Tonight DH and I will veg at home with TiVo and a bottle of wine. Tomorrow we have dinner (at a new, local brewery) and board game plans with another couple that I am looking forward to.
I'm a few chapters in to The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan. Too soon to judge much, but it seems pretty good.
No real plans for the weekend yet. I'm hoping to catch up on a couple of TV shows this evening and finish the hat I'm knitting, but that's all we have so far.

I'm about a quarter way through HP and the Order of the Phoenix. I'm not liking it as much as #3 and #4, but they both came together in the end, so I assume this one will, too. Also, it may just be that I know what will happen from the movies, so I'm anxious for the plot to move along.
Weekend plan: date night, kids' activities and the usual errands.

I'm still reading Captain Corelli's Mandolin. I'm enjoying it, though it's taking me longer than I'd like to get through it. But it's a great book -- not a sloggy read, just a slow one.

I'm stilllll reading A Game of Thrones. I have around 150 pages to go so I'm really hoping I'll be able to finish it this weekend. I'm really enjoying it but I'm ready for something new.
It's cold and snowy tonight so we're picking up a pizza and staying in. Tomorrow I have to go grocery shopping and I don't have any plans for Sunday aside from church.

OOTP is hard in a lot of ways because of all of the negativity/angst. For a long time it was my least favorite of the 3-7 set of books. During my last re-read, I started to appreciate it more, but I definitely empathize.
I just started I Shall Not Hate:A Gaza Doctor's Journey on the Road to Peace and Human Dignity. It was a recommended discounted Kindle book a couple of months ago (I'm a bit behind on my book shelf...) so I picked it up. Quite interesting for someone who tries to follow the Israel/Palestine conflict but doesn't have enough of the history to really get it. It's non-fiction so I'm hoping I'm getting the facts correctly.
Because that is, shall we say, heavy...I am using John Stewart's Earth as bedtime reading (written as a textbook for aliens who might be visiting earth after we humans have managed to kill ourselves off. It's entertaining but I'm not laughing as often or loudly as I did for America.
The Casual Vacancy. I'm having a hard time getting into it becuase it's just one character intro after another. I think I started this with overly high expectations because I loved HP so much.
I'm reading Away With the Fairies by Kerry Greenwood. I love this series and although I haven't read them in order, I have read most of them. I also have Murder in the Dark by her waiting to be read when I finish this one.

I'm reading Master Race right now. It's a book about Lebensborn program. I'm still towards the beginning and they're giving a lot of background, but the bulk of the book is looking at the stories of specific Lebensborn kids and, when possible their mothers.
I'm late to the game but I am reading Gone With the Wind and I am loving it. I might just be my new favorite book.
This is my absolute favorite book of all time. I've lost count of how many times I read it. I think the first time was when I was 12 or 13.
I am still reading 11/22/63, I made no progress over the week. On my phone I am reading The Time Baroness. It's cute and easy to read when I'm in line or waiting for an appointment of whatever. It's actually getting pretty good so I'm going to read it more.
