I haven't had to return a rug myself, but I have read that if you need to return it, you need to find a fault with it: it doesn't match the description, color is off, it's raveling, something. If it's their fault, they'll cover it; if not, you'll probably be out a small chunk (~$50 probably).
Anyway, it's a lovely rug and great inspiration. I hope it works out.
I have had quite a few rugs from overstock over the years. I found most of the descriptions and reviews pretty accurate. Quality has been very good. You get what you pay for. I had one almost 8 years and just tossed it last spring because it was looking pretty worn. For a $100.00 rug I consider it a win.
Returns on overstock are easy, the shipping is just spendy.
I have two rugs from Overstock. They turned out wonderful, especially for the price. I haven't had to deal with returns, but I'd think it would cost around $40 to ship back the rug.
I have three wool rugs from Overstock and have been happy with all of them. I have no return experience on rugs but they were good about returns on jewelry.
I hope it works out, I like it. All our rugs are from Overstock at this point. I do prefer to get ones that already have reviews on them to know what to expect, but I have not been disappointed.
Most of my rugs are from O.co, and I've been happy with all of them. My current living room rug I LOVE, and it was a bargain. $250 or so for a 6x9 wool rug made by Savafieh. Love it. So pretty.
ohhhh this is great because that's the brand of the one I ordered.

I've ordered a TON of stuff from overstock over the past several years, and I've only had to return items twice - once was a dress that was a little TOO low cut, the other was a rug pad that I over ordered. Both times I spoke with a customer service rep and they waived the return cost.
All of the rugs I've ordered have been wonderful - exactly as described - and very high quality.
