I work all this weekend early. DH is gone smashing his derby car into junk. J is at his dad's for the weekend and C went over to the IL's last night because I worked at 6 this morning and I work at 7am tomorrow, so C is going over to my mom's at bedtime tonight. I already have started my first glass of wine. Ahhh. I stupidly started watching "Intervention". I stopped watching them because I would cry every single time. I thought I was finally unhormonal enough to watch it. Silly me. Five minutes in and I was already crying. So HGTV it is for me now. I am also I totally addicted to www.refashionista.net blog now. I need a sewing machine and a big bag of ugly Goodwill dresses now. What's everyone else up to?

I've been sewing a dress for Amelia. I bought a pleater machine with my Christmas $, and am making smocked dresses for baby girl. I'm still on my 1st one, but I'm getting much better at embroidery.
I've also been online looking for dresses for a wedding I'm going to in April. Then I got sucked into ebay looking at designer shoes/boots and smocking plates (embroidery designs). So far the dress frontrunner is this one

Yeah, I have tons of black. . . so I don't want another black dress. My mom told me she would buy me a new dress (yay!!), and this one is 1$ under her budget, LOL- BUT 200$ cheaper than its original price.
Love that dress! I'm feeling like crap and making dinner. DH has to finish his report cards this weekend, so I'm still on full-time Lily duty (although he did take a break for an hour or two this afternoon to play and have lunch with her) and I'm getting frazzled. He works so slowly and has really screwed himself over, which in turn has screwed me over. *sigh* At least when Lily goes to bed, I can relax and watch a movie or something while he retreats back into the bedroom to work.
I'm hanging out, my child has decided that naps are no good today so I'm listening to her talk in her crib. I don't know why, but even though I'm not actually having to entertain her, I still feel exhausted from her not sleeping. Maybe I should turn the moniter off and pretend.
Saturdays are like my Fridays, so I'm always super bored at home while the boards/fb is super slow.

Now I am being a Judgey McJudgerson on a coworker who had her baby 6 days ago and just posted that she is going out tonight for the first time in 10 months. Going out, like going out and drinking all night. My lady parts were not ready for a public appearance at 6 days, especially out at a crowded bar. Actually, I was still in the hospital with C in the NICU. And I was still pounding pain pills because I was pretty sure my tits were going to burst and fall off and I was still scared to poop. Maybe I am being to judgey because of my own experience, but I didn't even have tearing or stitches and it still didn't feel "right" down there. She likes to post drunk pics, so I'm sure I will be rolling my eyes all night.

I know, I hate it's so slow on the weekends! This is when I get to post more because dh is home and sometimes I don't have to work as much. No one is ever around though.

I didn't realize how slow it was on the weekends because we're usually doing a million things. But today I've been home playing Betty Crocker (making cupcakes and Valentines) and we're working on teaching the little guy to say "ooohhhh yeah" when he walks around with sunglasses. So far he just keeps saying "ooooohhhh"

6 days PP is crazy! I was hobbling around from my c/s and popping pain pills (which is much better than partying- the pain pills, not the hobbling). I'm actually kind of jelly about her carefree attitude. I could use a dose.
Weekends are definitely slow here, and on our BMB. So boring! It really reminds me that most people bump when they're supposed to be working. Physically, I would've been up for going out 6 days pp. If I still liked going out to bars and clubs, that is, but I'm lame. I had a really easy recovery, though, and would have even been able to decently put on an appropriate going out shirt. Emotionally, there's no way I would've been ready to go out and leave Lily, nor would I have wanted to put anyone through the hell that was 10pm-3am for those first few weeks of her life.
We got back from the zoo a little bit ago. It's a sanctuary zoo with nice big enclosures, so it doesn't make me leave feeling icky like the zoo closer to my house does.
Tilly got to pet a deer! She squealed, it was super cute.

Oh, that's so cute! I'm jealous it's nice enough to go to the zoo. I love going. The one we go to is huge(Omaha, I think it was voted best zoo in the US this year?) and has big enclosures too. I can't wait to go! I could get going out to eat with her hubby at 6 days pp, but not on a bar cruise, drinking binge. They were big partiers before though. I use to hang out with her when I first started working there, but her crowd was very douchey. Duck face pics in bar bathrooms every weekend kinda douchey. I would have been too nervous and in general I was an emotional wreck. Maybe I am just extra judgey of her. Remember that terrible zebra print dress cake with big knockers and a pregnant belly with fetus hands feet poking out? The gender reveal cake? That was her.
at 6 days pp I was barely hobbling around my house and sitting gingerly on pillows. and bleeding profusely. and my breast felt like leaky rocks. and nursing every two hours. for at least 30 min. and i didn't even want to leave him long enough to sit in the tub and soak my, um, damaged parts.

Thanks, camel. I love them! I haven't sown since middle school, but the refashioning looks like fun. Once upon time I use to be creative. I don't do anything now.
