Oooh, man, the hipster with glasses look - I inexplicably love that. It always comes on a fine-boned guy with delucate features, now that I think about it.
Imma just drop some grammar knowledge- it's should HAVE could HAVE may HAVE. People think it is "of" because we are lazy Americans who say could've should've etc. It's not of. Sorry- HUGE pet peeve.
Also I am majorly side eyeing anyone who thinks MP is saying she is thin and everyone should like her. She was describing how she looks versus what he wants. If it pissed you off- that shows you're insecurity. I'm drinking too, so...
Bwahaha...this is hilariously ironic.
As to the original question, I tend to find guys with dark hair more attractive than blonde/red/light brown hair. And I also like men with some meat on their bones! FI has salt and pepper hair and is pretty slim, so yes, I do go outside my type. I'm with everyone else who said that personality trumps looks (to a certain extent).
And I would be ^o) to a guy who told me that he would only date me if looked a different way.

This guy sounds like a dick and I think you should consider yourself lucky that you're not his "type". I can't imagine telling a guy "I'm not into you because I usually date guys that are taller/shorter/more muscular/have all their hair/whatever".
I don't think I have a type as far as who I end up in relationships with, but I do know that my eye is always drawn toward cute gingers, and I like guys with nice arms. My friends always tell me I like "regular looking guys" and I think that's true. I don't like pretty boys at all, or hipster/artsy types. I definitely have a type as far as personality though - a "guy's guy" who likes sports and beer, and who is the outgoing/life of the party type. I used to be kind of turned off by the thick Boston accent a lot of guys around here have, I thought it made them sound unintelligent or something. But somehow I fell madly in love with a tall ginger with nice arms who likes sports and beer, is the life of every party and has a WICKED THICK Boston accent (but also happens to be wicked smart).

And because I posted and went off a tangent, I wanted to say that this guy is a douche. I get having a type but if he already knows he cannot get past your looks because you are not what he usually goes for, he shouldn't have asked you on a date.
And then what was the point of telling you that he felt no attraction because you are not his type? Did he wanted you to feel bad about it? He would have just said, hey I felt no chemistry but I wish you luck. No need to throw the type thing on your face.

I put you're insecure-as in you are insecure, but I was drunk and I guess I put insecurity. HA! But, see above-the your/you're shit doesn't bother me so much, but for some reason "could of" makes my head explode. No idea why. Maybe because it is so common where I am and because it's not like of/have are pronounced the exact same but spelled differently. Who knows. Grammar bitch fail! (gramer beetch fale!)
