Has anyone used one? We take product photos in house with a fancy DLSR camera and edit them to have a white background for our customer's ads. I'm photography stupid (seriously, I don't know why I'm in charge of this, I have no idea what I'm doing), and watched a quick tutorial on using a green screen, and thought that would make that part of my job 1000x easier. We have photoshop CS5 something or another (like one of the fanciest photoshop programs). My biggest issue with the products is that they have a lot of....leaves and foliage which is a pain to edit around for me. If we did get something like this for work it would actually be a "blue" screen because a lot of our products are green, sometimes bright green, rarely blue. Anyone?
What kind of products? I have never used a green screen, but I'm wondering if maybe a light tent with a white background would be better so you don't have to edit the photos to have a white background?
A green screen wouldn't work if your subject is green, and I believe most of the programming only has the auto green, I don't think you can just pick a color.
What kind of equipment do you have besides the camera? Light box, flashes etc?
CS5 doesn't work with a blue screen? Hmm....The products are potted indoor and outdoor plants (think potted orchids and outdoor hanging baskets). We have a white background, but if the pot and some of the flowers are white it's really hard to edit. No light box, but we do have some photography lights. I don't know anything about this stuff, I don't know why I got stuck with it. Ugh.
