Ex friend accepted my LinkedIn request. I guess that answers my question about the email. What do I do now?! Say hi? Do nothing? Why am I such a spazz?
Huh. Do you really want to bring ex friend back into your life?
I definitely would, under the right circumstances. There was no bad break up or anything, she moved and fell off the face of the earth. She was going through a lot at the time (health issues and a death in the family). If she came to me and said I'm sorry, I had a rough patch and I flaked, I could understand. Not saying we're going to be besties again, but I do miss her.
I thought your rescinded the request, meaning she would get the email, but the invitation would no longer be valid.
Anyhow, don't expect an apology. It's been how many years? If you want to catch up, send a message. If not, leave it be. No need to overthink this one.

I think if you do want to bring her back into your life, a quick email saying hi would be a good way to open up the lines of communication. Or you could always wait to see what she does. Maybe she'll beat you to it.
In my case I left it a lone for a while and then asked my ex friend why she stopped talking to me. In retrospect, I am pretty sure I know why, even though she didn't say it, but like I said in the earlier post, it has been nice to reconnect.

I thought I did too. I am way overthinking this, I know. It's been 2 1/2 years or so.
