We had pancakes on Sunday too! I am not usually a big pancake eater, but I had some homemade blackberry syrup in the cupboard that the neighbors gave me and I really wanted to try it. It was delicious!

I imagine when buttermilk goes bad it curdles.
My dad used to make sour-milk pancakes for us all the time when we were kids. Seriously, if a jug of milk went bad in the fridge we'd all be like, "DAD! PANKCAKE TIME!"

Between this and the fish oil, I don't think we should talk anymore today. You are making my tummy hurt.

What you guys, it's totally a thing! The acid in the sour milk gives it a tangy flavor and helps the baking soda work, making fluffier pancakes! It's not gross, it's CHEMISTRY.
Actually thought Fat Tuesday was next week. DS informed me he wanted pancakes tonight.. So. pancakes, ( in a nice little heart pan) and some sausages with Canadian maple syrup.. YMMMMM...

I did not know this.
However, it does not make me a fan of rotten milk.
