DH has a big gas guzzler and is considering something with much better MPG for his 30 mile commute. He loves his gas-guzzler Lexus and the nameplate in general so was leaning strongly toward a CT because the Prius is just not as "cool" looking. He was also considering a Ford C-Max. The commute is mostly highway but it's generally a parking lot speed rather than highway speed.
Anyone drive a CT? C-max? Other hybrid he should consider? (We owned a Camry which he liked but he's not liked the newer ones and isn't considering one.) Non-hybrids he should look at with similar high MPG (FIT lovers, unite!)? <object style="position: absolute; z-index: 1000;" id="plugin0" width="1" type="application/x-dgnria" height="1"><param name="tabId" value="{C0B4B128-43DC-424F-AA08-D39871BF057D}"></object>
We looked at the Lexus CT but it just seemed so small. The C-Max seemed a lot roomier. We didn't test drive either but I liked the feel of the CMax better.
We test drove a C-Max hybrid when DH was loking for a new car. Nice ride, has noise cancelling technology so the ride was super quiet. Has the doors and hatchback that will unlock if you're next to the car--no fumbling for keys. We didn't get it because DH didn't like the way it looked. Ended up with a Fusion hybrid--funny, because I drive one, and even though DH likes it, he said getting another Fusion wouldn't be like getting a new car. As it turns out, he liked the Fusion better than all the other hybrids we drove, and believe me, we drove all of them.
