Since we're on skirt styling

Any ideas for what else to wear with this skirt other than black?

It's black and cobalt blue striped. I've tried lime green and ivory. Neither seemed to look right (although maybe it was the particular tops I tried). My next attempt is some shade of yellow.

Ideas? Thanks!

I like PP's suggestions. Kelly green could be good, a sunshine yellow (think primary color), or a grayish platinum could be fun too. I'd stay away from neonish shades to keep it from looking too 80's.

Why mess with perfection? I would stick with black.

Thanks! The shirt is from TJ Maxx. As is the skirt. I'm a whore for that place.

I love it with the black, but I tend to play it safe most of the time. White would also look great!
