My usual meal planning has gone out the window, since we'll be eating at the new house (on the fly) for the next two weeks. Essentially, the kitchen is torn up for painting so TRUE cooking is out. Also, I have better things to spend my money on than a million take-out meals. We did a papa murphy's pizza for the last two days. I've thought of Stauffer's lasagna - if I get the family size, we'll get like 4 meals out of it. Anyone have other suggestions?
any type of sandwiches you can think of, including ones you can have warm (heat the ingredients in a microwave or toast bread in a toaster) such as meatball sandwiches, melts, etc. Pair with a cold pasta salad, green salad or chips.
quesadillas or tacos (again using a microwave to heat some ingredients)
We probably did 50-50 takeout and homemade stuff when we were working on the house nearly 24/7.
Stuff like enchiladas or mac and cheese also makes a lot of servings and reheats well. I don't know how close you are to your new house - we were only about 5 minutes away so sometimes I'd make a frozen pizza at the old house then just transport it over here for dinner. Not totally homemade but cheaper than carryout.

Yup, cooktop, oven, microwave and fridge. I don't want to make anything that requires much attention, though - I've got other things that I could be doing instead of standing around stirring things. LOL
Also want to avoid anything that might splatter due to that whole "fresh paint" thing.
These ideas are great! I will hit up TJs tomorrow afternoon for frozen stuff. Also, I'll haul the george foreman grill over there for panini-style sandwiches.
I took the crockpot to the new house and used it to reheat my frozen homemade soups and homemade mac&cheese. I put the frozen cubes in when we arrived, turned the crock pot on low and then had a hot lunch in the mid afternoon. It helped me empty the freezer and provided a good meal.
