We put an offer on a MCM house 6yrs ago but the owner was a jerk so we walked away. I'd love to get one someday but now I have too many kids (I'm about to give birth to my 4th) for the size of most of them that are in my city. I totally love most of them.
I'm jealous you even have MCM houses as an option! Everything here is arts & crafts. Everything.
It has been tough finding any in the areas we are looking that haven't been completely ruined by 'updates' and/or they only have 2 bedrooms.
DH is actually looking at a couple more today, but they aren't like this one. Nowhere near this cool imo.
One is a tiny 2 bedroom that is super cheap and needs some work, that we would likely live in and fix up while we keep looking, and use as a rental later. Another is around the corner from this house, but has a different kind of MCM vibe. Both of those still have their original cool dividers in them.
They might see another one that has clerestory windows, but the people put in stupid replacements with grids (or maybe just the add on grids, who knows), the lot seems a bit small, and it is super close to train tracks. I know that is common in Orlando, along with airports/planes and highways. We just weren't sure that we wanted to be that close (like right behind). The house has some potential though. There is also an air conditioned artist studio out in the back, but I'm not sure if it is big enough to use as a studio for my work.
