What do you think of these paint swatches? The golds looked a lot more brown on the color sample, but I think I like the darker gold in the room. Do you think the dark green is too dark for the room? The lighter green seems to match well, but there is something about the color I don't like - it looks dull. The tiny picture on the left wall is not staying, but the picture over the mantle and the two blue vases are. I appreciate any feedback you can offer.
For that room I like the deeper green, however I think that it is too similar to the background of the tree picture. If I were you I would put up a few more samples- this time mix a few ratios of the gold and green paint together and see if those look good.
I was leaning towards the darker gold color until I saw it by the tile of your fireplace... I'd keep looking. I'm not a fan of either the green or the blue, but that's definitely a personal preference. I go more neutral on the walls and bring in color with accessories.
One for sure I'd rule out is the light gold - I think it's too light. I think I really like the dark green/blue! It's a daring choice, but it feels like the room gets plenty of light, and I think it'll do gorgeous things with all your light trim. It'll definitely make it cozy.
Edit - why not paint the dark green/blue one section of the drywall by a fireplace leg - paint out the whole area and see how you like it.

This is a great idea! The darkest blue/green is my fav too.
I like the lighter blue/green color the best, but don't like that there's not much of a contrast between the vases and the paint. I don't like either of the yellows. If you were going to go neutral, maybe a deep beige...or a green that has a bit more gray in it.
Can you mix the two greens and see what happens? I've don't that before, then had the paint color matched to my new color.
I like both colors for different reasons, but feel like the light blends too well with the vases and the dark could be too dark. Or maybe it is more that it is green than the darkness....I have seen some stunning rooms lately that are painted deep colors.
I think you should keep looking. The darker green is the best. The golds will make your FP tile look pink. Could be a risk even with the green, but it looks like the tile might end up looking more beige so that's good. I feel like you would need another accent color though if you did the darker green because the picture above the mantle and the candles would make it seem monotone green blue everywhere.
