I may have to start regularly checking out Big Lots. That place is kind of fun.
We had dinner at a hole in the wall place that we really like, and it's right by a Big Lots. H decided that we should go in to look for a cheap shower head for my lovely pink bathroom. So, of course I decide to take a look at the cosmetics.
And what do I find? I was soooo excited to see these for just $1.50 per bottle.
I bought 3 shampoos and 3 conditioners. I smelled it to be sure it was that same heavenly scent, and sure enough, one whiff transported me right back to high school.
Then I saw this thing and decided to give it a try.
I've been eyeing the $70 Bliss product that people on here recommended, but figured it couldn't hurt to see if this $17 trimmer did the job well enough. I bought it, and then looked it up online later. It's around $25 to $31 on most websites, and $19.99 on drugstore.com. It gets mixed reviews, but it seems like most women's trimmers do because quite a few dummies think it's the same thing as an electric shaver and end up pissed that they still have stubble. Duh. (ETA: Now that I look at it, it does have a shaver attachment, but I bought it for the trimmer and don't care if the shaver is crappy)
Then, while standing in line, I noticed that the Philosophy end cap had some different stuff than before. So, I now have a shimmer powder and this illuminating cream. I really like the illuminator, as it is not glittery and gives a nice, light pink glow (on my arm at least).
I bought a ton of the Philosophy Big Lots stuff! I've never been to a Big Lots, but it was worth the trip for that (and the sketchy brand of dishwasher tabs and Spot Shot stain removers that I found )!
I got shadow, shimmer powder, illuminating cream, blush and lip gloss.
I've tried the blush - awesome, flush-y cool pink - and the shimmer powder - very similar to Benefit High Beam, my all time favorite highlighter, just powder instead which is actually kind of nice.
I'm assuming this is similar to New England's Ocean State Job Lot. They have Essie, OPI, and Sally Hansen polishes for $1.50 - $2!! For my northeast girls, check it out.
So I stopped at Big Lots today and my store also had Philosophy. I picked up art of blushing in pink dreams, angel kiss lip gloss in pretty please and eyelighting shadow duo in heaven and earth. All 3 for $9. Pretty sweet deal. Thanks for the heads up on this GoDawgs!

Awesome! The last time I went, I got that same eyeshadow duo, two cream blushes, and a lip gloss. Then my MIL got me a lip gloss trio.
Ohhhh I went today and got 3 Sally Hansen nude nail strips, one Sally Hansen nail strips in red stripes, a round brush for blow drying, CUTE crocs for my trip (Mary Jane gray ones, 5 bucks, and they're real!) and some reg. flip flops! Yay!
Great finds! I wish they had nail strips at mine! Maybe I'll find those one time when I stop in.
