First Crossfit workout on Friday and today was my first 5k since H.S. Cross Country.
My chip time was 26.49 and I finished 132 our of 1700 women and 25th in my age group for women and 439th overall out of 2600 runners. Though my time was a little slower than I was secretly hoping for, I have only worked out 7 times in the last 6 weeks and only 4 of those were runs. I took a month of to relax and re-coop. So really I think I did pretty well and am happy to have just gotten the first one out of the way.
I have been lurking here since the move over here and lurked before and you guys are a huge motivation! Keep up all of your hard work so I can have an easier time keeping up mine!
Great job on the 5k! That's a great time and it will be fun to work on improving it. I ran my first 5k since HS in April and promptly signed up for 5 more to keep it going through the summer and to try to improve upon my time.

Great job on your 5k! Honestly, do you think doing your first CF workout right before negatively impacted your time? I take a couple of days off from CF before racing.
