I'm hoping to make some headway on outfitting Baby Fuss's big boy room this weekend. I've been dragging my feet on that with everything else going on, but time's a-wasting.
We didn't do much for valentines day, but Baby Fuss and H did present me with a card that Baby Fuss picked out all by himself. It was so ugly I had to laugh. It was black and white with black ribbons and red heart-shaped jewel things glued to it, and super mushy. LOL!
Aw, Baby Fuss. He must have thought the jewels were so pretty.
I got some chocolate with chili in it. Yum. Then the card said that the chocolate was to "spice up" our relationship. I don't think he actually meant anything by that, except that he gave me chili chocolate, but I wasn't quite sure what to think.
I have nothing on the books for the weekend. I am hoping to go to the Matisse exhibit at the Met. If it stay as nice as it is today, a hike may be in order.

H actually did something unique and thoughtful for me on Valentine's day. It was very unexpected. Part of me is impressed, but most of me is mad because he couldn't bother to be thoughtful on a random day when it's not expected of him. He's now shown that he's perfectly capable, but lazy. UGH!
This weekend is going to be a whole lot of nothing. H has made plans for most of the weekend with his friends, so it's just me and DS. I might take him to Jumping Jacks though. That would be fun.

This bit of wisdom is one that many women never get to, preferring to get strung along by their own fantasies. Good for you.
And also HUGE eye roll at your H making plans with his friends yet again leaving you as primary child care. I swear your life as a single parent is going to be so much easier without this guy getting in your way day-to-day.
Why would it be a 3 day weekend? What holiday am I missing now?
I'm hoping to get a pedicure and make it to the gym. I'm feeling rather gross today. It could be the two donuts and the new shirt which isn't as oversized as I thought it was.
I have a self made three day weekend, I have this horrible headache that I got last night right before we went to the bark & wine. It's not so much fun going to an all you can drink event when you feel terrible. I'm home today in my pjs still feeling terrible.
No 3 day weekend for me, but my Monday will be a little less stressful because the banks are closed. (I do payroll on Mondays). DS's daycare is closed but he's going to spend Sunday night with his grandparents and they're going to keep him on Monday for us.
fussbucket - TBH I don't mind so much when he takes off for the weekend. It makes for a more relaxing weekend for me. That alone has me feeling pretty good about the idea of being a single parent.
Tonight, geeking out with video games Saturday, trip to the outlets and Target for shoes and gift card purchases Sunday, a run overlooking the ocean and applying for jobs Monday, lunch with a friend and probably organizing some shit at my house/purging
No 3 day weekend for me.I didn't realize it was a 3 day weekend until you just wrote it.
This Valentine's day might go down as one of the best. Last night we went to dinner at an amazing restaurant and H gave me a necklace from Tiffany's to celebrate our 10th Valentine's Day. Lucky I was sitting down or else I would have fell over. In a few minutes I am leaving to go spend the weekend on St. Simon's Island on the coast of Georgia. It should be beautiful. For a couple that usually dines on on Valentine's day I am still sort of speechless.

No three day weekend for me. A friend is going to take the kid for a few hours on Saturday for no reason. I might take a nap. I might sew something. I'll probably read, lol. Then we are going to have dinner with H's parents. Nothing planned for Sunday.
H gave me a picture frame last week for Valentine's Day, but yesterday I also received roses and a giant picture frame with picture of the kid in it. It's adorable. The H isn't crafty or handy, so him making me something is pretty special.

I don't have a 3 day weekend, but the elder one does so DH will have all three at home on Monday (can you hear me giggling? It's because I am imagining the "but why do they only seem to want the sandwiches I make for myself?" whinefest).
We don't have much going on this weekend. I'll be getting my tire fixed or replaced as it's going flat for no apparent reason.
BUT, we may be celebrating DH getting a new job that would a) pay more, b) give him a Monday - Friday work week, and c) just generally be pretty awesome. They asked him to get a drug test today so we're thinking that means he's still in the running.

LOL. DH was all "I'm not sure what it means other than I am still in the running?". If he gets this job it would be awesome, their starting pay is right about where DH is now pay-wise at his current position (and he's about topped out). AND they pay OT, which his current company doesn't do. We're excited about it.

I would have a three day weekend if I didn't have to work at the other job tomorrow. Although while I'm there I am going to put in my two-weeks notice. Yay!
Sunday H and I are planning on going to brunch before he goes to work. Then I'm seeing a movie with a friend.
