"Everything happens for a reason, people change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together." ~Marilyn Monroe
6 months. Granted, we had dated for about 1 year, then split for about a year, got back together, and were engaged 6 months later. So many signs yet I didn't listen.
5 years dating, engaged after being long distance for a year. (why did I not listen to people!?) engaged for 2 years but never married...yay for wasting 7 years of time on him!

Got engaged 5 months in and was engaged 1.5 years. I think we had a longer engagement because I knew the marriage didn't feel quite right, but yet I went through with it.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

Around here people usually wait a year or more. Places book up fast and can be pretty expensive. When I tell people we plan to have ours this October or November, it's almost unheard of. But we're not getting any younger and want to have kids right away. My last wedding was booked for over 2 years away. Thank GAWD I wised up during that time. We cancelled it with 8 months to go.
