This is the view from our front door. Our downstairs is a mostly open floor plan and painted BM Hot Spring Stones (it's a bit darker in person). We have a small deep red accent wall in the kitchen which faces out to the livingroom and the mudroom which does not have a door is the same red with wainscotting on the bottom. I have yet to find the perfect picture for the wall on the left but can say it will probably have a red tone/theme to it.
I want to paint the wall with the Established sign and wall vase Mesa Verde Tan which is the deepest shade on the chip. I think it will warm up the entrance. What do you think?
does the wall go up 2 floors? i notice the crown has the fancy ending for a wall that doesn't end normally (we would do this in our master if we decided to do crown because of a strange vaulted area we have).
is it just b/c it is the wall you see when you first come in that you want to accent it? imo, i only accent walls that i really do want to draw attention to, thus "accent" them. if there is no other motivation for accenting/drawing attention to it, i would just bring interest to the entire entry way through decor, keeping all the walls the same color/tone/shade.
I'm not a huge fan of accent walls, but I think that the color you've chosen will look really good. I just don't like them when they're a color that's super obnoxious or different than anything else in the room. Plus, the wall isn't that large and I really love that color you've chosen. I say go for it!

The wall goes up a bit but ends. This pic shows it a little more. I am not trying to draw attention to it but more trying to warm up the area and make a little more impact when you first come into the house.
I think the color you picked is a bit dark and on the green side. When I think warm it's usually got some yellow undertone. How do you feel about this tan?

given that, i think you can do it. it isn't a huge attention maker, since as pp mentioned it is subtle, since it is just a darker shade on the same chip. it won't look bad and may do just what you are looking for, bring warmth.
i will add that it is usually the dramatic accent walls with the their respective colors chosen that put me off from accents, too. subtle ones like you have in mind seem to usually be all that is needed.
